Liked: Nice space lovely scenery and owners are amazing the place was so quiet to say it was on a working farm got to wake up to the cows each morning which we loved, pat went above and beyond to make sure our stay was great even came round to see if we needed anything from shops as she was going. All the facilities were kept to a high standard aswell highly recommend this place even our dog oscar enjoyed him self too

From the manager: Hi Katy and Ric. So glad you have had a lovely few days with us. Oscar was a star and we can't wait to welcome you all back again. Thank you for your lovely review, it means a lot to us. We have just finished installing a campsite fridge, so this will be ready to use when we see you next. Wow, what lovely photos. You really captured the essence of our farm camp site. I hope Oscar dreams of rabbits and pheasants tonight! Thank you again for supporting our camp site. Best wishes Pat and John.

Liked: Very idyllic place with a wonderful view. Pheasants come out of the forest to greet you in the morning. New, very clean toilets, rubbish can be disposed of. We had the huge pitch to ourselves, but even 20-30 vehicles could easily get out of the way. Ideal stopover on the way to Scotland. Very, very friendly and helpful landlords!!!!! We would love to come back!
Disliked: Nothing!

Liked: We only stayed 1 night as a stop off on the way to the Lake District but this campsite was perfect for us. Easy to find (even as it was starting to get dark) and as we arrived we were greeted and shown into the field. Being the time of year (late September) we had the place all to ourselves! Gorgeous views, lovely and peaceful. On a working farm so obviously some typical farm noises but it was lovely to be out in the countryside. 2 portaloos on site, water tap and recycling bins. Can’t comment on the surrounding area as we didn’t explore much but would definitely return. Thanks for a lovely stay!

From the manager: Hi Tiffany, it was lovely to meet you all, and so glad you managed to stay a while before having to travel north. We are sure you had a lovely holiday, and hope to see you again in 2024. You can book us and the whole site if you wish, should you have a private party that needs a camping site!! Take care, and thank you for your lovely review. Best wishes Pat and John

From the manager: Hi Mitchal. It was great to meet you both and we hope your journey is going well. Yes, the drive is a bit bumpy, as the rain has washed the hard core away from the drive. We are in the process of getting this fixed. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Your visit, and comments are very much appreciated. Enjoy our British countryside and have a safe journey home. Perhaps, in the future, you will meet your friends here and book the site out on an exclusive basis! Best wishes Pat and John

Liked: The children could just run around in the field, they loved seeing the animals, Pam and her family were really welcoming
Disliked: We didn't dislike anything, the only criticism we would say is that the grass in the camping field was a little to long

From the manager: Hi, it was great meeting you all and thank you for the lovely review. Yes, I can only apologise about the grass length. Our contractor let us down. He was due to have come on Friday. He was needed by Farmers making hay so let us down. Next time, it should be a bit shorter. We try to have the grass cut every 2 weeks, but this week it has grown a lot. We hope to welcome you here again. Thank you for supporting us and for your feedback. Best wishes Pat and John
