The Real Campsite at Park Farm is a small, peaceful site on a working farm in the Oxfordshire countryside. Located approximately 20 minutes' drive from the edge of the Cotswolds, this place is all about campfire cooking (wood is sold on site) and gorgeous rural views – it also comes with little luxuries attached, as each designated pitch here has its own water supply, private toilet and picnic bench. This is a working farm, with a handful of pet sheep, a small herd of goats and chickens as well as arable fields. This part of the Thames Valley is an important wildlife haven, so you may well spot wild animals including hares, buzzards, deer and red kites too. Keen to engage your artistic side? On Saturdays from May to August, the site hosts arts and crafts sessions with activities such as felt making, printing and macramé. If you'd rather have a private session, this can be arranged on a different day. Please note that the pitching meadow is car-free (you can park in the farmyard and cart your kit over to your private plot with one of the wheelbarrows provided). As well as the private facilities, the site has a well-maintained communal shower block with five showers and underfloor heating. A covered washing-up area is available, and there are also charging lockers for small devices (please bring your own padlock). The site is in the village of Littleworth and is a few minutes' walk from a well-reviewed restaurant. It's also five minutes' drive from the pretty market town of Faringdon, where there are local cafés, pubs and shops as well as an unusual folly.

Liked We’ve stayed here before, and was just as good this time as the last, and will definitely come back again

Disliked Buying goat food only to not be able to feed them as they were locked away in another field.

Pitch next to ours were being quite loud and woke us up at 0600 Saturday morning and then 0700 Sunday morning, despite the rules on the email.

We're sorry to hear that you missed the opportunity to feed the goats. If you had let us know during your stay, we would have been very happy to help and let you know when they would next be up at the gate. They spend time in the fields throughout the day, but are usually keen to greet visitors when they come up and are always appreciative of a snack! As our shop operates on an honesty basis, you would also have been very welcome to return the goat food and either remove it from your tab or request a refund if you felt unable to use it.

We're also sorry that noise from a neighbouring pitch disturbed your sleep. We do ask guests to be considerate of others, and if we'd been made aware of the issue at the time, we would have done our best to address it.

Liked Lovely, peaceful campsite with very clean facilities and useful fridge and freezer. Fantastic views and lots to do in the area.

#7 Ash End unpowered grass tent site

Liked Loved the views, private loo on each pitch, location, honesty shop, and the wonderful owners and their lovely son. Although there are a few other pitches, the arrangement of the site felt like you had the entire place to yourself! This site has all the ingredients for a fantastic camping holiday if you are looking for a smaller, picturesque, well run site with great facilities. Fabulous!
