  • Peaceful family-friendly site on a farm in the Oxfordshire countryside
  • A 25-minute drive to Oxford and an hour to the Cotswolds
  • Four fishing lakes, river access and on-site shop
Switch between the pedestrianised alleys of the ‘city of dreaming spires’ and the mellow hills and countryside tea rooms of the Cotswolds… all on the same day if you wish. Set your base in Greenhill Leisure Park, a family-run farm site surrounded by the Oxfordshire countryside in Bletchingdon, within 25 minutes' drive of Oxford and an hour from the Cotswolds National Landscape. There are certainly no shortages of countryside pursuits on hand, with four fishing lakes on site stocked with carp or coarse fish and a nice selection of countryside rambles or woodland walks from the site. Where to start, with 270 acres to explore on this farm site? You could while away the afternoon with a riverside picnic while watching the canal boats glide by or head to the carp fishing lake for a test of strength… the biggest fish weigh up to a hefty 30lbs. Beat any bouts of the tummy grumbles with the on-site shop. Other facilities include a toilet block, launderette and washing-up facilities. There’s a dedicated grassy area for dogs to stretch their legs, if you’ve brought a canine friend along for the ride too.

What customers say

Great campsite, clean and tidy with spacious spots. Staff are a gem, and the surroundings are beautiful with plenty of walks. On-site cafe and shop are handy. Very dog-friendly. A few noted dated bits and some traffic/plane noise. One guest had wasp trouble.

Liked Friendly staff, onsite restaurant, nice pitch and excellents showers: no push buttons and no fixed temperature for a change. Great wifi near the restaurant.

Disliked Showerblock was quite messy in the evening and the campsite was very large and busy with lots of kids and people talking till late. We didn’t mind much but others may find it too busy.

Liked From the minute we walked into reception to check in, I was amazed by how friendly the staff were, even throughout our stay. We only stayed the one night as we were new to camping and was testing out our tent, but enjoyed the campsite so much we booked another 2 nights here in August 2025. Truly amazing place, and the location is perfect. The gift shop was a great addition, along with the grocery shop. It was a good selection and full of essentials at very reasonable prices

Liked We've been coming here for the last few years and it has become one of our favourite places to pull up in the campervan and just chill out, the site has everything you need for a quality time in the countryside, a shop for the essentials and a gift shop, there's a cafe that makes the best English breakfast for just £8 and serves a nice child pint on tap.
Facilities are very good with nice showers and toilet, sinks for washing up and there are a few lakes for those that want to go fishing along with some nice walks. Staff are nice and friendly and very helpful.

Liked Good reception and easy to find touring pitches.
Well marked out pitch, with plenty of room and reasonably flat.
Toilets and showers clean and working well. Plenty of walking areas (very extensive) for dogs or general walking.

Disliked Quantity of toilets and showers. There were only 3 in each for all the touring pitches. (Just had to choose the right time to visit)

Local attractions

Woodland walking is on the cards at Island Pond Wood (20 minutes' drive). Don’t worry, you won’t find a crocodile here… but you may spot more than one or two at Crocodiles of the World (25 minutes). Keep your eyes peeled for more wildlife, including red kites and Duke of Burgundy butterflies, in the ancient woodlands and valleys of Chiltern Hills (45 minutes). Next, go where the fashionable people used to congregate, at the historic house and gardens of Blenheim Palace (five minutes) or Waddesdon Manor (35 minutes). At Bicester Heritage (15 minutes), you can delve into a different history, this time of motoring. Or look into the city of Oxford (25 minutes), where grand libraries and cathedrals stand tall. The same Jurassic limestone that forms the hilly walking district of the Cotswolds (an hour) is on show at the ancient stone circle of the Rollright Stones (25 minutes), another old site to add to the trip’s must-visit list.
