6-amp powered grass site

Liked: We booked a last minute stay at this site as a pit stop on our way to the new forest. We absolutely loved it here and can’t wait to be back! The owner was very friendly and helpful. There was a lovely atmosphere on the site. We loved the goats that you could feed with food from the little on site shop. Facilities were great and very clean. The pitches were also spread out so you had lots of space on your pitch. We can’t wait to come back and bring our friends!

Liked: Very accessible site with clean and tidy amenities, easy to find and close to a lovely village with a fab pub. Good walking routes close by and easy road links to all the bigger towns close by. Very spacious pitches with plenty of electric hook ups and taps. We had a lovely few days and would recommend.

Liked: Loved the campsite, toilets and showers were fine by me, but I never expect too much. Great to have animals on site, a food bar, a bar, bouncy castles and an ice cream can even stopped by a few times.

Disliked: The thunderstorm 😂 Toilet doors could use a little more privacy. Didn’t use the wifi

10-amp powered grass site

Liked: We really liked that there were animals for our little man to see and feed and the park and bouncy castles were a great hit with him too. Really friendly and helpful staff from the adults to the little girl who served me in the shop. We liked that there was food, a bar and a little shop on site too. We would definitely recommend and will be returning. Reviews said about the train noise but we chose a pitch that was furthest from the track so didn’t affect us.

Disliked: No dislikes

Local attractions

Coming to the Cotswolds for a bit of fresh air and gentle activity? Set forth for fishing at Clattercote Reservoir, or tee off at Cherwell Edge Golf Course; both are about 10 minutes away by car. Country walking routes are plentiful too, of course, as are fine buildings to mooch around. Blenheim Palace (40 minutes’ drive) is perhaps the best known of all the Oxfordshire stately homes (and with good reason, for ’tis fab) but it’s worth taking a look at some others too, including Farnborough Hall (10 minutes), Sulgrave Manor (20 minutes) and Upton House and Gardens (20 minutes). For a break from the classic Cotswolds activities, head out to meet the big birds of Fir Tree Falconry (15 minutes) or sigh over all the shiny machines at the British Motor Museum (20 minutes). And if you’re in need of a tipple or two to accompany your barbecue back at base, there are some excellent local ones to be acquired at Hook Norton Brewery (25 minutes) and the Cotswolds Distillery (half an hour).
