Unpowered grass site
Liked Beautiful scenery, easy check in with friendly staff. Lovely big pitches with loads of room.
Disliked There was noise from other people until late at night. Attitude from lifeguards was really poor when addressing people (not in pool area, so wasn’t a safety thing). Didn’t get chance to use pool as it was too busy.

Great will visit again
Unpowered grass site
Liked Really enjoyed, the large pitches, woodland setting, bar and shop were lovely additions, staff were really friendly and knowledgeable. The surrounding walks were great. We loved this site and would return. Loads of amazing activities 😀
Disliked My only issue is,with a large busy campsite, you need to keep on top of the toilets. Its so easy to fall into chaos with lots of visits and kids, rather than 3 hour checks I suggest 30/60 minutes checks, and an actual designated cleaning slot twice daily with loos shutting, to really thoroughly clean refresh loo roll, clean loos, and get floors clean. However this did not spoil my visit.

What customers say
Great space for families, with friendly staff and loads to do. Be warned, loos/showers often need a clean, so maybe pack your own facilities. Electric amps and some activity organisation also flagged.

Lovely location. Lots of space and things to do . Great for families
Power optional grass site
Liked Lovely staff. The receptionist is as very helpful and friendly. Also because not that busy we were given the option of moving to a quiet section. The kids loved the outdoor pool. Bar was nice . Very peaceful. Plenty of room and things to do. Beautiful surroundings. Lots of wild life . Will be retuning 110%
Disliked Pitches need marking out better as it was our first visit and it was pretty unclear how to park but with it not being busy in our section it didn’t really matter . Also some of 240v connected hook up cables that could be adult be run over which should be marked in my opinion and my only other thing is the toilets and showers should be cleaned more often. It’s just a little grubby compared to most sites we have been on but still overall we really enjoyer the place and will return

Liked Facilities excellent. Especially the wristbands for activities. We took 3 x 14 year olds to camp for a birthday and they took themselves off for hours!

Unpowered grass site (no pets, wild)
Liked Price to stay there was good
Wild camping area was clean and tidy and loads of space
Location is nice, quiet and scenic
Disliked Costs in the bar and shop
No electric/condition of toilet block in wild camping area (but that’s why that area is cheap!)

Perfect for large family groups - but take your own toilet!!!
Power optional grass site (large, no pets)
Liked The site is massive, with field after field of open spaces, more than enough room to help you feel like you are truly on the wilderness. Loved the children’s activities. Loads for them to do and the staff are wonderful.
Disliked Toilets. There are not nearly enough for such a vast site, they are extremely old and very poorly maintained. They look like a set from a Saw movie.

Some good activities to do woth the wristbands.
Disliked Not much choice on food and was quite expensive

Liked Love Walesby. Massive site, friendly staff, loads of space, brilliant activities available
Disliked It would be useful to have more information about the activities such as age ranges on the flyer they hand out and information about where some of the evening events are such as the kids disco

Beautiful site, need to upgrade the electric, 6amp is not enough
Power optional grass site (large, no pets)
Liked Beautiful site, lots of facilities if you wish to use them
Disliked Toilets and showers a bit of a walk from our pitch, electric only runs on 6amp so wouldn't power our air fryer or hairdryer. Bit naughty really when you've paid for it.
Had to ring the out of hours to come and reset it for us.
Be aware signal is pretty much non existent on youre phone on the park, bit better near reception
