  • Peaceful adults-only bell tent site in Northamptonshire
  • 10 miles from the edge of the Cotswolds; Leamington Spa 15 miles
  • Within walking distance of two village pubs
Located in a peaceful location between two small villages, Coleman’s Hill is a quiet glamping site surrounded by green Northamptonshire countryside. This place is designed exclusively for adults, with comfortable bell tent accommodation and outdoor amenities to make sure you have a comfy and relaxing stay. Inside the bell tent, there's a spacious double bed to help you get a good night's sleep, while outbuildings house the composting toilet, sink and shower. There's also an outdoor bath for alfresco relaxation under the stars, and a barbecue is provided for when it's time to get cooking. This part of the world has lots of potential for varied outdoor breaks, whether you fancy ambling along the side of local canals, shopping in Royal Leamington Spa, discovering the Cotswolds or paying a visit to Shakespeare's birthplace, Stratford-upon-Avon. Between them, the villages of Upper and Lower Boddington have a nice range of facilities, including a bike track, two family-friendly pubs and a village hall. The nearest supermarket and post office are a short five-minute drive away in the pleasant village of Byfield.

Local attractions

In the immediate vicinity of the site is Boddington Reservoir, a pleasant stretch of water that's just over a mile away. Relaxing walks and wildlife spotting are on the cards, as is angling (this 65-acre reservoir is one of the best match venues in the Midlands). The adjacent sailing club hosts taster sessions for those new to the sport, while more open-air activity is on offer at Banbury's well-maintained outdoor lido (20 minutes' drive). Northamptonshire was once known as the county of 'spires and squires', so it'll come as no surprise that the local area is home to a wide range of historic houses and estates. Popular options include pretty National Trust properties like Farnborough Hall (15 minutes) and Canons Ashby (15 minutes), but even more ancient sites like Warwick Castle (30 minutes) are within easy reach too. More historic days out are to be had at Shakespeare's Birthplace, a fantastic museum in the peaceful historic town of Stratford-upon-Avon (40 minutes). For motorsport enthusiasts, the nearby Silverstone Circuit (40 minutes) is likely to be a draw, and the British Motor Museum and its spectacular collection of cars is close by too (20 minutes).
