What customers say
Great campsite, loved by guests for friendly owners Eric & Val. Facilities spotless, especially toilets/showers. Pitches level & spacious – kids loved it! Handy for Skegness, but peaceful. Some road noise & stored caravans noted. Excellent value, many keen to return.

Liked Site was friendly,
Disliked Alot of noise from the road, no disabled toilet or disabled shower. Only one shower block, no information on the site of where things were. And so many old caravans which made it look unsightly.

From the manager: Hello Mr Paul Croft, many thanks for staying at our campsite and also the review you have left. I will go on to comment on your issues, however I do have to say that I find it amazing that a small business like ourselves can be subject to such a negative score, which obviously has a negative effect on our livelihood all because the person making the booking either can't be bothered or just doesn't take the time to do their research into the site they are booking, especially when it comes to disabled needs. Always has to be the site owners fault, not the visiting party, ....Anyhoo, going back to your points. You state we do not have a disabled toilet, yes that's right, we don't, that's why we DO NOT advertise we have disabled toilets. You also mention that we do not have a disabled shower, again that is right and why we DO NOT advertise that we have a disabled shower. You make a comment regarding one shower block, that is also correct. This is separated into a male and female section, which contains the correct number of showers, toilets and washing facilities for a campsite of this size. Not sure what your issue is with that and again you would have clearly seen this if you had taken the time during the booking. Next, the "unsightly" caravans. Again this has been addressed a number of times within reviews and comments. We actually have pictures on our Pitch Up page showing the "unsightly" caravans, which I'm sure you would have seen at the time of booking. Finally the "no information on site". Outside our single shower block and on the way to the camping field (before the unsightly caravans), we actually have a large map of the site showing where things are......not sure how you missed that. May I suggest going forward that you take the time to research the campsite you are looking to book and not just blame the owners when you don't have the facilities you expect...........We wish you happies camping for the future.
Can't wait to stay again!

We stayed non electric and the field was so lovely and flat! Very easy to peg a tent into!

Excellent, family friendly site with clean facilities

Liked Recently came to stay here for 4 nights with my 5 year old son in a tent. The campsite was clean, well maintained and peaceful.
The owners are also extremely accommodating, I had actually booked for the week after my visit but upon realising I had to work I emailed and asked if it was possible to bring the holiday forward by one week. I was squeezed in no bother at all!
The kids playground is a fantastic feature, I was pitched right across the field from it so I could sit by my tent and watch my son play with the other children.
The campsite is super close to local shops and amenities. Lots of things to do nearby in Skegness. We also visited the Lincolnshire Wildlife Park which was lovely.
My only comment (which is no fault at all to the owners) is that there is a fair bit of road noise at night, with the camp being situated close to a fairly busy road. So if you’re a light sleeper bring some ear plugs and don’t let it put you off!
Highly recommend :)

Liked It was secure, away from the main road,
Close to the toilets,
Showers and toilets clean,
Nice small field, not over crowded.
Disliked There was only one electric hook up box that accommodated 4 tents, which ment all tents needed to be really close to each other, it's not ideal when you're next to a stranger.
The park is an ideal location as we could always see our children but its very unsteady, wobbles alot whilst children are playing on it. There's a big hook poking out the ground which is a potential hazard. The tiles on the floor arnt securely fastened down.
On the morning off leaving our 7year old children were approached by the owner in a very aggressive manner, when really I should have been approached as I am the adult. She was shouting that they had damaged the floor and demanding them to go and fix it. As I approached her to see what the problem was she demanded I went to the park to see what they had done. As we got there I could see 5 tiles had been lifted not damaged, when I asked my son why he'd done it he said he was looking for bugs. I told him he must not remove them and look elsewhere for bugs. It took me 1 minute to place them back. As I was doing it she was screaming at me saying don't expect her to do it. I would highly recommend these tiles to be securely fastened down to avoid this happening again! Also she screamed at me saying children should be supervised whilst on the park, I understand this but there was many children coming on and off the field at all times day and night! They were going on the park unsupervised and all weekend we didn't see any parents with them, these children also was in and out of our tents and around our tents all weekend, that lead us to be worried about leaving our tents unsupervised, it's also a concern that parents aren't aware that these children are around strangers!

From the manager: Julia
Thank you for taking the time to review our site.
We are glad that you found our site clean and not overcrowded.
Regarding you claim about screaming at you and your child it is absolutely not true. Yes I absolutely did come over to you and your son but didn't address him until you were with him. I spoke to him in a firm calm voice. I absolutely did not raise my voice to a child. I absolutely walked you over to the play area so that you could fix the mess he'd made. Again any words spoken to you were in a normal voice not screaming. Perhaps you aren't used to being challenged over your parenting skills or your child behaviour. I don't care what reason was given for messing with the safety mats had you been monitoring him it wouldn't have happened.
Regarding securing them down.. the whole point of the specialist mats is that they are soft if I stake them down that then adds a hard sharp point for a child to hurt themselves on. It's funny you blaming us for your parenting fail.
Also if our play area is of such concern why did you allow your child to play on it for 2 days?
Regarding your complaint about being too close to others you're right had we been able to move you to another campsite we would have. We had multiple complaints about your lack of respect for others, the noise, shouting late at night etc. we even had campers leave early because of your behaviour.

Liked We really enjoyed stay in here for a couple nights during may half term. When we got there check in was easy, I just phoned the number and the lady came straight out. The camping pitches were on a field, that was not busy, and we did not feel that there was too many people we couldn’t get any peace. It was great that the pitches were so close to the park, and my children were able to play all day where I was able to see them, so very safe and gave them plenty of freedom to just be kids. It was not loud at night. The toilet, shower and washing up facilities were very clean and everybody was very pleasant . My children were up every morning greeting the ducks and the dog walkers! The caravans are stored on the camping field, this did not bother us, as we simply didn’t care however you should be aware of this if you might want to moan about it later . You are 10 minutes from Skegness, this site is fantastic value, my children already want to come back so we would definitely return .
