  • Peaceful and smart park set over 15 acres
  • At Chapel St Leonards and within walking distance of the beach
  • Shop; dog wash; pub next door
Ah, how fine is Skegness. And Mablethorpe. And Chapel St Leonards, and Ingoldmells… it’s a fairly safe bet to say the Lincolnshire coast is rather fine as a whole – and then there's the Lincolnshire Wolds just inland… As well as seaside towns, quiet stays near beaches are on many holidaymakers' coastal checklists: if this is true for you, tick off your requirements at peaceful and pretty Eastview Caravan Park, on the edge of Chapel St Leonards village and within walking distance of the beach. It’s a smart and friendly 15-acre park which welcomes families, motorcyclists and the family dog: you might also like the fishing ponds nearby or the pub next door too. Eastview has waste disposal points, service points and clean and well-maintained heated shower and toilet blocks with free hot showers and disabled access. There’s a small shop on site, and Chapel St Leonards is a few minutes’ drive away for supermarkets, cafés, pubs and restaurants.

Liked: Cleanliness Away from the hustle and bustle

Disliked: The noise. First night, adults up until early hours shouting across to each other, playing badminton around tents. Second night, noise from adults past 3am, then someone’s alarm went off at 6.30am! So not much sleep again. People around us quite inconsiderate. Shame as I booked it as it was advertised as a family site. We have all gone home absolutely shattered

From the manager: Dear Customer, Thank you for taking the time to leave your review, we do value your feedback. We are sorry to hear that your stay was ruined by other campers being noisy. On arrival we do ask people to keep the noise down after 10.30 pm and advise them that ball games are not allowed onsite. In addition we issue a sheet with our campsite rules on which contains telephone numbers for our security team who would of been happy to come out and ask the people to keep the noise down/ stop playing badmington had you called them. Kind regards, Lisa Bookings Team .

Liked: Very friendly run site, clean and well kept. Nice quiet nights and respectable campers. Facilities nice and clean. Very close to amenities and bus routes into skegness.

Disliked: The shower/toilet block that was near our pitch (92) seemed to be neglected a little bit more than the toilet block by the reception, it seemed to be spic and span compared to the other one. The pressure of the showers and temperature seem abit up and down too. The shop could do with a little more stock too. WiFi is shocking and so is the mobile signal. I wouldn't advise paying for the WiFi as it doesn't work properly.

Liked: Large pitch. Location was amazing. Staff really friendly. Shop well stocked.

Disliked: The site has a lot of tent pitches but only 3 toileta and 3 showers(1 out of use) so had to que every time I tried to use, anytime of the day. They were really tired and industrial but kept really clean, the cleaning lady was amazing, just a shame they were way too small for the amount of people that had to use them.

From the manager: Dear Customer, Thank you for taking the time to leave your review, we do value your feedback. We are sorry if the toilets/showers closest to you were busy, however, we do have two toilet/ shower blocks on site, one on the field and one by reception so if the one closest to you was busy you are able to used the other block. Kind regards, Lisa Bookings Team

Liked: I liked the location of our pitch as it was close to the toilets and wash facilities. The site is also very close to the main entertainment area of Chapel St Leonard’s , Golden Palms I think it’s called. There is plenty to do there. The wash rooms and toilets were clean and adequate.

Disliked: The pitch was not really a separate pitch, more like a field, where lots of different camping styles were just allocated a spot of grass with electric hook up available. Lots of tents etc.

Liked: Short walk over the footbridge into Chapel golden palms area. Facilities cleaned regularly. The cleaners do this site justice.

Disliked: Dreaded as we drove on and we could see how many pitches and how close they all were, and we were right to dread. We've camped for years even with the kids up and down the country and this is the first time we've ever had to complain and couldnt wait to leave (dog was really seriously ill then partner pulled his back otherwise we would have left day two, instead we had to sit and endure with no choice). Site was noisy until well after 11pm with people shouting, laughing and singing at normal volume despite rules saying quiet after 10 - 10:30 depending if you go from the sheet handed out or the rules on the toilet block wall. Footballs kept hitting the tent, car and dog at regular intervals on all of the days we stayed, despite rules saying no ball games. no one patrols to enforce the rules so they go unnoticed. We did have to contact the site manager several nights after 10pm and security were deployed but security are not on hand so take some time getting to you. We saw no just regular patrols. One family on site thought it was acceptable to bring their own karaoke machine, yes I've now seen it all when camping. One of the caravans on the site opposite held an all day music festival that carried all the way over to the far side of the field we were on. The hot water at the washing up area and in the showers (at both blocks) will seriously scald you so be very careful, it comes out mega fast too so be quick out of the way. Wouldn't come back here if I was paid treble to.

From the manager: Dear Dawn, Thank you for taking the time to leave your review, we do value your feedback. We are sorry to hear that your stay was ruined by other campers and that you had to call security. Unfortunately during your stay there was a noisy group whom our manager had to give a warning to. Our security company do random patrols at night and if people are not following the rules we do speak to them and in extreme cases if necessary ask them to leave. We are also stressing the importance of our camp site rules on arrival, ie no ball games, dogs to be kept on a lead and for people to keep the noise down after 10pm, we are also giving out an additional information sheet. As mentioned at check out it is the school holidays and during this time we are at full capacity and each year people seem to bring bigger and bigger tents. We tend to be a lot quiter and there is more room slightly out of season. Kind regards, Lisa Bookings Team

Local attractions

Walk to the town and beaches of Chapel St Leonards or take the bus or car to Skegness to start your hol off swimmingly: both have easily enough attractions for a full day trip, as do nearby Mablethorpe, Sutton on Sea and Cleethorpes, all within easy driving distance. Secondhand shoppers and bargain hunters will be in heaven too: nearby Ingoldmells has the biggest indoor market in Europe, and there are regular car boot sales here and at Chapel St Leonards, Skegness, Winthorpe and Addlethorpe. Skeggy is stuffed with sights, attractions and activities: the Embassy Theatre on the seafront, Tower Gardens and the wild river flume and rides of the Skegness Pleasure Beach. The popular Natureland Seal Sanctuary is at Skegness too; to see more of these Lincolnshire inhabitants, head to the Donna Nook nature reserve or to another seal sanctuary at Mablethorpe, which also has time tunnels to the dinosaurs and other beastly locals including barn owls and badgers. The Gibraltar Point nature reserve just outside Skegness is another top spot to see the local wildlife and soaring seabirds, or head inland to walk or bike the Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty Lincolnshire Wolds, the highest eastern England area of land between Yorkshire and Kent and with the Red Hills Nature Reserve to the north. There’s plenty more to do in the Wolds whatever floats your boat: long-distance path the Viking Way cuts across the Wolds on its way from Barton-upon-Humber to Rutland, or you could take a steamy trip on the Lincolnshire Wolds Railway, or for bikers, ride along the roads and roar at the races of Cadwell Park.
