  • Simple riverside touring pitches by a mill in Wainfleet All Saints
  • A 10-minute drive from Skegness; 20 minutes from Lincolnshire Wolds
  • Pre-booked discounted brewery tours available
Pitching up where your pints are brewed – with pubs and brewery tours on hand too? If you’ve raised a glass to that fine idea, make tracks to Batemans Brewery Caravan Site, in the village of Wainfleet All Saints. There’s much here to appeal to beer fans, of course – you can see how the ales are created in the brewery, then take a five-minute stroll to sample the results in the local pub alongside your dinner. There’s another fine pub five minutes’ drive away in the village of Croft too if you fancy mixing things up a bit, and a small supermarket a few minutes' walk away for picking up any supplies you may need. It’s not all about beer around here though – this is a super spot in a lovely Lincolnshire location, with a river running alongside and an old windmill giving the place a sense of heritage. Days out visiting the likes of Skegness, Gibraltar Point National Nature Reserve, Gunby Hall and the Lincolnshire Wolds are all easy to get to as well (all of the aforementioned are within a 20-minute drive). A toilet and shower block is available next to the site in the parking area. It is locked and only to be used by guests on site; you'll be given a code by the site. Please note that the camping area is car-free; a separate parking area is available a short distance from the pitches. As this is a working brewery, early starts are possible. This site is not staffed.

What customers say

Great spot, quiet, clean modern loos, good value. Close to Wainfleet shops and buses. Brewery tours are a hit. Some mention early brewery noise and occasional management/cleanliness hiccups as it's unmanned.

Liked Large pitches, good walks, beach is easy to get to. Dog friendly.

Disliked Toilet block could do with a deep clean.
Waste area is very smelly and close to some pitches. (Blocked Drains)
Brewery started filling lorries very early on the bank holiday Monday morning, I was woken up at 5:30, and yes I knew it was a working brewery before I booked.
Site was not manned and had to rely on the guests staying there to find out where my pitch was and where the utilities were.
No wash up area.

Liked First time staying here and we would definitely come back! Lovely quiet site, really clean and well maintained. Toilets and showers are clean, and the showers were lovely and hot. Brilliant location. The village is a 5 minute walk and has everything you need there. The Woolpack pub serves amazing food too! Perfect location to access Skegness as the train station is a couple of minutes down the road, and 1 stop to Skegness. Would definitely recommend the brewery tour, we had a brilliant time there!

Disliked If I hadn't read the reviews, we wouldnt have found the information pack which contained our pitch number. There was no email prior to arriving with information. As the site is unmanned, there were times the toilets didn't have paper (this was also in the reviews so we brought some with us). Maybe better if the toilets just had locks which show they are in use as people try to get in with the code when you are in there, because there's no indication that they are occupied. That said, this doesn't out weigh the positives of this site at all!! We had a lovely stay!!

Liked The location this was our third time of staying, and we’d asked friends along with us this time.

Disliked Was there for 3 nights and they continually ran out of toilet paper and soap and hand towels. The toilets were not cleaned regularly enough, on the last morning there was only one toilet left with any paper.

Liked Lovely big flat pitch overlooking the river. Tour of the Brewery was well worth it and got to know other campers whilst on it
Lovely area for cycling and walking. Great for dog walking in large field by the camp

Disliked The showers/ toilets were excellent the first couple of days then they became a bit dirty, lacking in toilet paper etc. maybe need servicing more at the weekend?

Liked Spacious pitch on a lovely quiet site

Disliked Lack of information about things like grey water and chemical disposal point etc. Each pitch gets an info pack so can be easily updated

Liked Very tranquil and peaceful.

Disliked Essentially this campsite is staffless. 9 times out of 10 this isn’t an issue.

However when there are only 4 loo’s, and none have paper it can be more of an issue. Especially after a curry. Also 1 of the 4 showers was out of action with the hose broken for all 3 days of our stay, with no sign of it being looked at.

Liked The open layout of the camping site and the generous sizes of the pitches provided. The toilet and showering facilities were magnificent and clean along with being well positioned

Disliked A minor niggle only. No washing up facilities on site separate from the toilet/shower block. These are often just an outside sink and draining board area and are normally provided at all other sites. The situation was circumnavigated so not a major problem

Local attractions

While enjoying the present moment is lovely, a little bit of the past can liven up your holiday even more. That certainly rings true at the National Trust’s Gunby Hall and Gardens (15 minutes), where there's a country house of old, or the Bubblecar Museum (35 minutes), where it's possible to join in on ride days in historic microcars. Another way to get around, there’s a horse riding centre (25 minutes) within driving distance of the site too. There are rare-breed horses at the Northcote Heavy Horse Centre (15 minutes) - just call in to meet all the residents. And for more animals, Lincolnshire Wildlife Park (10 minutes) or Gibraltar Point National Nature Reserve (15 minutes) could be another port of call (binoculars are a handy accomplice for this second one). While the Lincolnshire Wolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (20 minutes) delivers when it comes to natural beauty and walks galore, it’s in Skegness (10 minutes) that the beach, aquarium and seal sanctuary take the spotlight. There’s all the activity of the rides at the Fantasy Island theme park (20 minutes) too, a good one for the kids in your group.
