What customers say
Peaceful rural escape with spacious fields & stunning 360° views. Great for 'wild camping' with clean compost loos & water. Owner Philip is helpful with local tips. Drive needs care on rough tracks, but guests love the tranquil beauty and want to return.

Loved this off grid location, with stunning views of Pen y Fan
Unpowered grass and earth campervan site
Liked Loved the simplicity of this site, your in a field with views to die for. Phil the owner was really helpful and visited us several times making sure all was good and telling us about the local history.
This site is as described on the tin, stunning views and scenery, totally off grid so you need to be self sufficient and limited numbers allowed, so no noisy neighbours and loads of room to yourself.
Really enjoyed this stay and will be back in the future. Thanks Phil.

Liked Absolutely stunning views. Honestly, amazing views, the photos do not do it justice. Very quiet, saw Red kites and a hare, able to have fires in a fire pit, friendly owners. Perfect for people who want to get away from other people

We had an amazing wild camping weekend so quiet and chilled perfect for those who like that so highly recommend
The farm owners were so warm and friendly and accommodating so we definitely will go back
Disliked It would be perfect to us if there was a few extras like rubbish and drinking water facilities but it wouldn’t stop us returning

Excellent back to basics site.
Unpowered grass and earth campervan site
Liked This was a great back to basics site. Phillip was very helpfull and happy to chat and give local advice on walks, history of the area etc.
The site is a very large field so plenty of space, with a sturdy and clean compost toilet.
Awesome 360 degree views over to the Malverns and into Wales etc, I imagine it would be amazing on a clear night - for star gazing etc.
There is a good hotel/bar about a mile walk down the road.
Once you arrive at the farm you drive up a dirt track and through a few fields to get to the site. So if you are running a low vehicle just go carefully.
Lots of walks around the area which can be circled back to the site
There was also phone signal at the top of field which we weren't expecting.
We will be back soon for sure

Unpowered grass and earth campervan site
Liked What a wonderful campsite. When you get there, the owner meets you and you drive up on what feels like a farm yard safari up to the camping fields. The views are sensational and because you've driven further up, you don't hear a peep. What a beautiful place!

Location, location, location
Unpowered grass and earth tent or trailer tent site
Liked Conned into a little late season camping by my daughter and found that Oatcroft was one of just a few local sites still open in mid-November. It turned out to be a great location and we chose a level grass pitch, accessible by car, near the top of the ridge. From over 1000ft we had stunning views of Herefordshire and across into Wales. On a Monday evening, we were the only customers, but Philip couldn’t have been more helpful, nothing was too much trouble, and he and his brother both dropped by to check that all was ok. Philip is also very knowledgeable about the local area and I enjoyed our chat. After dark, to the accompaniment of tawny owls and the odd sheep in the fields behind, we enjoyed planets, stars, a dozen Starlink satellites and a moon bright enough to cast shadows.
Disliked Nothing. Wonderful “wild” camping exactly as described. Take nothing but photos, leave nothing but footprints (and maybe the odd tyre track!)
