Excellent site
Power optional concrete and grass caravan site
Liked Very well kept site with flat gravel pitches. The amenity block is kept spotlessly clean. Jess, the owner was very helpful in giving tips for local walks and pub food. We enjoyed the fairly flat 2 mile walk to Mallard’s Pike, which has a cafe and lovely lake. The Miners Arms at Whitecroft (20 minute walk) served an excellent Sunday roast plus huge homemade desserts (we will share the sticky toffee pudding next time)! Also enjoyed a delicious evening meal at the Fountain Inn, Parkend (40 minute walk). The walk back from these pubs is more challenging as the campsite is situated at the top of a big hill.
Will definitely return to this excellent campsite.

Power optional grass site
Liked Incredibly clean facilities, very quiet and very nicely kept site
Disliked Not really a dislike but do make sure you get your essentials and stuff before you get there, the site isn’t walking distance to much, the pub about 15 mins walk away stops serving food at 2:30.

Liked Can’t think of anything.
Disliked Being told by the owners to keep quiet. Having family fun with the kids when the owners came round to spoil our stay.
Men shouting over the hedge from the road and a woman knocking on our tent.

Probably the best campsite we’ve ever used.
Unpowered grass site
Liked Big pitches. Plenty of space and not crowded in. Little touches - box of matches from the shop (like an amateur I forgot the fire lighter!). Freezer for ice packs. Covered bike store with rack. Spotlessly clean. Bowls and drainers for washing up. Quiet. Beautiful views.

Power optional concrete and grass caravan site
Liked The site was in a lovely raised, quiet position so lovely views to wake up to!. Pitches were a good size and I don't think the area would ever seem overcrowded, with a good walking field. The showers and washing up facilities were brilliant ! Plenty of space, well lit and immaculate with very hot water. Communication with Jess was great and any instructions left were clear. She was also very good at recommending local walks, which are accessible from the campsite.
