If you’re looking for a peaceful and adults-only Gloucestershire retreat tucked away under a canopy of trees, you’ve found it at Cotswold Shepherd’s Hut. This cosy, dog-friendly retreat sits well off the road down a single track, surrounded by woodland and with your own private parking space and garden. There’s no need to see anyone else at all if you don’t feel like it. Everything is laid on for you inside the hut; it is furnished with a double bed (quality linens provided), a rainfall shower in the ensuite bathroom and a two-burner hob, fridge and microwave in the well-designed kitchen corner. There’s a cosy living space and heating is provided by the electric-powered “woodburner”. A 10-acre field stands adjacent to the hut, and there are direct walks into Chipping Camden (50 minutes on foot/10 minutes’ drive), where you can find all manner of restaurants, pubs and shops.

  • The campground/park does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act (i.e. Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, and Fila Brasileiro) and/or any of the following: Staffordshire bull terrier, American Staffordshire terrier, Rottweiler, any Mastiff or Tosa.
  • Guests under the age of 18 are not allowed on site.
  • This is a quiet campground/park: no music is allowed.
