Broomhill Farm

Great welcome on a quiet campsite.

The campsite, felt very homely and friendly. The hosts were lovely and even helped us find some bricks for our campfire. They came over to our pitch and had a great chat with us so we could get to know them and they could get to know us a little better. We had our 18 month old with us so we camped in a secure gated field where everyone kept the gate shut throughout our stay to keep my little one safe. We were also next to a field of cows and it just felt super picturesque, especially with the bright pink sunset. The price was great for the land hire, electricity, toilet and shower use and to just feel secure in a pitch. It’s also not far from Alton Towers so we will definitely be staying again! Thank you so much for having us! We look forward to coming back to stay again.

Lovely quaint campsite

My only minor dislike was, there`s only one mixed gender toilet which also includes the shower, so if someone`s showering or on the toilet you have to wait. When people also go in twos and take their two dogs into the cubicle i cannot see the logic in this, meaning they`re in there for a good 45 minutes and when they exit the cubicle stinks of damp dogs.

The toilet/bathroom was lovely and clean busy but it was what it was. Grass pitches were lovely and maintained, directions were spot on, found some nice walks and pubs to visit with our 2 dogs.

Very friendly and welcoming site, with a very pretty countryside setting. We found it very convenient for a day out at Alton towers and there seemed to be plenty to do in the area, we could have easily stayed longer. Although the approach is fairly narrow there are plenty of passing places and we managed fine even though we are new to caravanning.

This place is perfect for a quiet weekend and is much better that what you can see in the pictures or reading the reviews.
The host is amazing and the facilities are good.Yes, is only one toilet what can be a downside for some people but this is not a busy site and is not the end of the world to wait 5 minutes. This is not a camp site, is someone home and it feels like this. We had Rossie and her son selling homemade cakes and scones, and they are delicious.

A big well done and I will deffinetly go back. Well done guys for having us.

Loved the view of the cows! We came with a group of friends and very much enjoyed the peacefulness of the place.
Good pitch with short grass.
I liked that the washing and toilet facilities were not the standard block but instead part of the house. Very clean and spacious.
We very much enjoyed taking some home grown beef with us. Lovely family that run the farm.
The kids didn't even notice that there wasn't a playground and amused themselves on their bikes and playing games. They especially loved patting Pip the farm dog.

Hot water ran out later in the day but understand it's an old tank.

Peaceful countryside setting. Very friendly owners. Far enough away from the normal hustle and bustle of life but close enough to towns/shops when needed. Plenty of space all around the site. Would recommend and visit again (hopefully they'll have installed additional toilet/shower facilites by then) Thank you Broomhill farm for a lovely relaxed week.

Albeit very pretty and well maintained, the single toilet/shower room is not enough for the number of guests. Hopefully they will look at introducing an additional toilet and shower, preferably separate then Broomhill would definitely be a 10/10.

Peaceful location,friendly owners,very clean site,great recycling facilities and lovely friendly dog.

Only downside was having 1 toilet and 1 shower between the whole site and located in the same block.
