What customers say
Great Peak District views and a peaceful vibe. Stephanie's a legend, facilities are top-notch, especially the showers. Perfect for walks to Castleton and Mam Tor. A few niggly bits: could do with more loos in peak times, and some campers can be a bit loud.

Stunning area of the Peak District, but not the campsite for us!
Unpowered grass campervan site
Liked Beautiful countryside and good location for a starting point for a number of walks, can walk easily to Mam Tor and Castleton. Devonshire Arms 15 mins walk away which is a friendly local pub.
Disliked If you like to play ball with your well behaved and well trained dog then this isn't the campsite for you as the owner has a very stricked no dogs off lead policy. Which I totally understand, but the aggressive manner we were spoken to by the owner was unacceptable when a quiet word would have done.

From the manager: Thanks for your review,im sorry you thought this but I asked you three times to put your dogs on the lead as they were all over the field.Dogs have to be kept on leads at all times as it is a working farm and that weekend you stayed there was a child on site that was frightened of your dogs and the parents asked me to have a word because it was not acceptable,

Liked Lovely location, site is investing in new facilities (new toilet block arrived while we were there), views of the hills on an evening. Excellent value for a Peak District location.
Disliked As we arrived on a Friday it was very busy and there are only 2 showers so needed to plan a quiet time to go
