For a relaxing getaway in the Peak District National Park, take a peek at Longnor Wood Holiday Park. This small, peaceful adults-only site is set among woodland and farmland, a mile and a half from the village of Longnor. Guests can spend a leisurely hour or two on the putting green, badminton court or boules pitch, stroll or cycle among the birds and rabbits in the scenic grounds, or simply park themselves on a picnic bench for lovely Longnor views. Longnor Wood Holiday Park is a scenic spot with plenty of places to go walking or cycling nearby. There are good facilities, including wifi, showers and toilets in the modern amenities block, a laundry room and small shop, plus a four-acre dog walking area with a viewsome vista of the Peak District National Park. Pubs, shops and cafés are five minutes' drive away, in Longnor. The site is a member of the Tranquil Touring Park Group; to maintain its peaceful nature it doesn't accept groups of more than four guests at any time.

Powered concrete and grass tent site

Liked We absolutely loved our stay at Longnor Farm Camping and will definitely be coming back!

It’s a fantastic campsite in a beautiful location, surrounded by stunning countryside with brilliant walks and plenty of places to explore right on the doorstep. It made a perfect base for our weekend, giving us lots to do during the day before returning to a peaceful and relaxed campsite in the evening.

The pitches were spacious and the whole site had a lovely atmosphere. The facilities were clean and well maintained, which is always a big plus for us, while the site still had that proper camping feel.

The little extras were a really nice touch too. The freshly made pizza on Saturday night was perfect after a day of exploring, and having breakfast baps delivered straight to your tent in the morning was a brilliant idea — especially when you’re camping!

We only stayed for two nights but managed to pack loads into the weekend, including hiking, exploring the local area and visiting some of the nearby attractions. There’s a great mix of countryside, villages, pubs and places of interest nearby, so there’s plenty to keep you busy.

Longnor Farm has definitely made it onto the Camp Dash list of places we’d happily return to. A beautiful location, great facilities, lovely little touches and a fantastic weekend. Highly recommended! ⛺🥾❤️

Fully-serviced grass and gravel motorhome site

Liked It was a clean and tidy site. The toilets and showers were cleaned regularly.
There was a bathroom on site which had a disabled toilet and walk in shower but also had a bath in it, which my sister in law and l enjoyed using ( not at the same time) The people were friendly and we used to delivery for pizza and curry night which was very much enjoyed. Good dog walking field too

Disliked As a novice pulling a caravan it isn't the best road to get too, but did manage

Liked Loved our stay very well organised loved the fact you could order food and get it delivered to your pitch. Very clean facilities and it was nice to know you could have a bath. Good idea to have a dog field as we have 3 dogs and could admire the views. Loved it.

Liked The site is in a fantastic location. The pitches are well set out, and a good size. All of the staff where friendly, helpful and had great knowledge of local pubs, walks and cycle routes.
All of the facilities where clean, toilet block was really good, one of the best showers I've had!!
Would definitely recommend, and stay again.

Dove camping pod (pet friendly)

Liked The site is lovely with it being over 18s. It’s nice and quiet and peaceful. The facilities are superb. I would highly recommend it. There are some really nice places to eat and drink nearby.

Disliked This is the first Campsite where I have booked grass pitch with hard standing where I have had to pitch the awning on the hard standing. The nice lady in reception gave me some hard standing pegs.

Route directions

Do not use the postcode in your satnav - it will not bring you to the correct location! From the south west Head for Leek and take the A53 towards Buxton. About 2.5 miles after Blackshaw Moor, take the right-hand turn immediately after The Winking Man pub, signposted Longnor 4.5 miles. After about 3.5 miles, turn right at the brown caravan park sign, then turn immediately right and follow the lane to the park. From the south east Head for Ashbourne and take the A515 towards Buxton. About 17 miles from Ashbourne, take the left turn onto B5053 (this is by a large bookstore). Follow this road into Longnor and turn right at the crossroads (brown caravan sign 1.25 miles). Turn left after 1.25 miles, then immediately right and follow the lane to the park. From the north west Head for Buxton and take the A515 towards Ashbourne. Approximately three miles from Buxton, take the right turn onto the B5053 by the large bookstore and then follow the instructions as above. From the north east Take the A6 to bypass Bakewell and follow towards Buxton. Approximately 8 miles from Bakewell, take the A5270. At the crossroads go straight across onto the B5053 by the large book store and then follow the instructions as above.
