  • Small adults-only motorhome site in the Peak District National Park
  • A 15-minute drive to Buxton or Bakewell; Chatsworth 20 minutes
  • Peaceful almost-wild site next to the Limestone Way
If you’re heading to the Peak District National Park and just looking for a simple and scenic spot where you can park your motorhome in peace, Ivy House Farm could be the place you’re looking for. This adults-only retreat has space for just a handful of vehicles in an open field with no sealed tracks – the kind of place where you’ll feel like you’re having a proper rural experience while also being safely ensconced in an approved overnight location. Groups, kids and dogs are not allowed here, and the almost-wild setup means it’s suitable for self-contained vehicles only (please note, no electricity or showers, although you will have access to a compost toilet). As you can probably imagine, this is a wonderful spot for those seeking calm, nature and the freedom of the open countryside – and with the Limestone Way passing by you’ll also be able to get out to explore your scenic surroundings easily enough. Despite the excellent feeling of seclusion here, you’re actually surprisingly close to urban amenities when you want/need them. Both Bakewell and Buxton are about 15 minutes’ drive away, and lots of the neighbouring villages have cosy pubs for meals and drinks. Attractions like Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall are within easy reach for days out too, as are walks and climbing spots like Lathkill Dale and Curbar Edge.
