What customers say
Top campsite! Clean facilities, big pitches, friendly staff. Loved the views & relaxed vibe. Great for walks & Alton Towers. Fire pits for hire, handy shop. A bit breezy in places, weak Wi-Fi/phone signal noted.

Lovely campsite, helpful hosts & great location
Unpowered grass tent or trailer tent site
Liked Had a very warm welcome right from the start. Hosts were very friendly and helpful. Pitch was a good size and in a good location. Campsite was well situated for exploring the peak district. Host was knowledgeable about the area and gave me some great tips regarding walks etc.

Spacious good standard campsite
Powered grass tent, campervan or trailer tent site
Liked Cleanliness, quietness, good pitch size.
Disliked Not the campsites fault but the local town of Ashbourne seems very tired and lacking investment (similar to a lot of English towns). The location of the campsite is good for exploring further into the Derbyshire Dales and Peak District.

Liked Very warm welcome and a lovely pitch. Excellent help in terms of finding great pub for food (Dog and Partridge) as well as directions to places of interest such as Dovedale and Ilam. Excellent toilets, showers and washing up facilities.
Disliked Nothing to dislike!

Unpowered grass tent or trailer tent site
Liked Everything. The friendly staff, great views, spacious pitches (although our first camp, so nothing to compare to), location (rural, with Aldi, The Range, Mountain Warehouse, Halfords 6 minute drive away). The clean toilet/shower and dish washing areas. Enough space for kids to play ball games (carefully not to hit cars/tents), fly kites etc...
Disliked Nothing

Powered grass tent, campervan or trailer tent site
Liked This is the third time we have stayed at the campsite as we have always found it to be clean and reasonably priced. The location is great - close to Ashbourne, Dovedale and many other Peak District delights. Friendly and helpful wardens, lovely views and a relaxed atmosphere make this a great site.

Unpowered grass tent or trailer tent site
Liked Lovely campsite with amazing views. The facilities were excellent, the whole campsite had a good feel about it. The wardens were helpful and friendly. It did get busy at the weekend which gave it a different feel but was quiet again by the time we left.

Really nice simple campsite that does all the basics right
Unpowered grass tent or trailer tent site
Liked Only two main fields so quite compact. Nice showers. Camping ground is flat
Disliked Toilet block fairly small (wouldn't have wanted it to be any busier)

Friendly helpful staff, clean facilities
Unpowered grass tent or trailer tent site
Liked Lovely site, excellent toilet facilities, good pub down the road.
Disliked If you are in the second field it is a long walk each time and at night times to the toilet block. Would prefer to pick your own pitch
