Our lovely club site at Ashbourne is perfectly located for exploring the Peak District and Derbyshire Dales. It is 3.5 miles from Ashbourne, known as the Gateway to Dovedale, where there is great shopping, walking and cycling on the Tissington Trail. Nearby Carsington Water offers birdwatching, water sports, walking and cycling. Take a trip to Pooles Cavern, Go Ape! tree top adventure, or the Buxton Country Park’s 100 acres of woodland. There’s more excitement at Alton Towers, while for a more relaxed day there are several National Trust properties such as Kedleston Hall and Sudbury Hall. You can also visit the Crich Tramway Village or take a cable car to Abrahams heights at Matlock.
