Bluebell camping pod
Liked Quiet and secluded but close to amenities in Penrith. Pod was spacious enough to relax when not exploring the area
Disliked WiFi would be very welcome due to poor mobile signal. It would help to plan and book activities.

Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Peaceful and relaxing short break location. Perfect for a mental reset after a crazy few months at work. Lots of space and with no light pollution it’s an awesome place for stargazing
Disliked Nothing. It’s great

Blue Lodge 2 bedroom cabin
Liked Everything about the site is great. Friendly staff, accommodation spotless and comfortable. We’ve used both a pod and a cabin and will be returning for a 3rd visit. The area is packed with places to explore in easy reach by car but far enough away from everything to be blissfully peaceful. For bad weather there’s even a book shelf in the shower block
Disliked Nothing. Excellent all round

From the manager: Thankyou Allan, it was lovely to see you again, looking forward to your next visit

Owl Hoot camping pod
Liked Friendly atmosphere, great views, easy access to amenities and lots of walks/bike rides. Facilities on site were well kept.
Disliked Pod was not big enough for a parent and child. Pictures on site were deceptive, making it seem bigger. Designed for couple or solo occupant. Showers and washing up water temperatures need swapping. Shower scalding hot, washing up water not hot enough.

From the manager: Thank you for leaving a review. Sorry if the pod did not meet your expectations. The photo was taken with my mobile phone and was not enhanced in any way. The description of the pod does state there is a double sofa bed only and is for two occupants. As for the water for the tap and the showers they are all set at the same temperature and cannot be controlled separately. The temperature is set with cold weather in mind (as the lake district does not normally experience hotter weather) and to keep visitors safe from legionella from the showers.
