Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire, England
Electric grass tent pitch (medium, maximum 4-berth)
Liked Facilities, use of fridges etc
Disliked Showers and toilets were quite grubby. They were supposed to have been cleaned each day but they remained quite dirty. I didn’t bother complaining However as the person in charge of the site was not very friendly at all.
Our pitch was plagued with ants which was quite unpleasant.
The top field had nice views but our camping field unfortunately didn’t.

Exeter, Devon, England
Non-electric grass campervan or tent pitch (maximum 6 metres)
Liked Clean facilities and close proximity to Exmouth
Disliked Dogs mess and rubbish on the pitch when we arrived which we had to clean up. There is 4 hours between check out and check in time so pitches should be inspected during this time?
We have stayed at Prattshayes previously and have been allowed a fire pit which we enjoy. This time it was not allowed due to a recent incident where impregnated wood was burnt-fire pits are safely managed on other sites so I’m not sure why they have to be completely banned. We also previously enjoyed access to the barn and garden area but this is no longer possible. There is a small bar set up in the campsite but there didn’t seem to be anyone working there.

From the manager: I'm sorry that you didn't find the site up to standard Dawn. We always check pitches after departure so I can only apologise if you found detritus which shouldn't have been there on your pitch when you arrived. We split the business at the end of 2021 to make the campsite and wedding venue separate. The Cowshed was always too big to be a bar and running the campsite from that side really made no sense. The bar on the campsite has been well received by our guests, it opens every day through the season from 10-6 and stays open until 9pm if people are drinking and using the facility, otherwise there is a pub at the end of the road which has pub hours. We look forward to seeing you again.
