Liked Everything, the staff are helpful and friendly, the people were all respectful and friendly, toilets and showers were cleaned regularly, the walls around the lakes were relaxing and peaceful, a great site

Liked Location is perfect, toilets and showers very clean, short drive to town centre and close to Dartmoor national park, hook up is 16amp which is handy and you have your own water supply too which is a great bonus.

Liked We had a large American RV and they found us a pitch with no problems, showers and toilets nice and clean and a good hot shower with no messing with buttons or sensors.

Liked The warden who shows you were to park was super helpful as we have a large Motorhome, the facilities are clean warm and shower is great, the walks around the lakes although a bit muddy with all the rain are lovely

Liked Location was nice, quiet nights sleep, Host just showed us to our pitch no mention of where the grey, waste or drinking water was, showers were hot and powerful but said can you clean after use but nothing left to clean them out with, mens toilets bit grubby but seen worse, overall not a bad site, especially if you like a lake and fishing.

Disliked Showers could be cleaner.

Liked Stunning walks with rivers and woods, star gazing was incredible, toilets and shower blocks very clean, very quiet and relaxing.

Liked Location and views lovely, toilets and showers very clean, cafe did a great breakfast but a bit pricey.

Disliked Non electric pitches on a slope, just like a car park really but with a few motor home pitches attached.

Liked Great site, clean toilets and showers and heated in winter months, very peaceful and the residential home for the old seafarers that you can use drinks are very competitive in price, they will do a full English breakfast or a roast on Sunday but you must give 24 hours notice, breakfast lovely but roast over priced for what you get.

Liked Excellent for star gazing, nice location if you just want peace and quiet.

Disliked Toilets and shower very basic indeed, site slopes so even with a few or frost difficult to get out, as it stands I would not say value for money compared to other sites I’ve stayed on.

Liked The pitch was fairly unlevel but nothing that some chocks won’t sort out, this was on the grass not hard standing, toilets and showers clean and had a heater in them which was really nice as chilly when I was there

Liked Level pitches, toilets and shower was extremely clean and also provided towels which was a nice touch, the cafe next door does a reasonable priced breakfast etc, I enjoyed the stay here, peaceful nights sleep and would return again.

Disliked Only real grumbles is it should be better sign posted from the road, if you look for the Oasis cafe and take the lay by it’s next too the site is off the lay by

From the manager: We are so sorry that the grass was long. Wayne can usually keep up with it but it had just rained and rained and it was too wet to mow. We were not expecting any campers quite so late with the bad weather, October is always a dicey month and the weather was not on your side. Sorry we didnt come up to scratch we hate not being able please our campers 100%. Please come again when we have some lovely sunny camping weather, Kind regards The Gifford family

Liked The area is lovely, the main house has Japanese garden which is great to walk about, the residential home is friendly warm and inviting and prices are very reasonable, if you want dinner or breakfast you must book 24 hours in advance, definitely be back

The Estates Team have been working hard in the Japanese gardens and have made it a lovely peaceful and tranquil place on the estate to either walk or sit and take in the sights and sounds of the surroundings. We are also a very busy little site and our Housekeeping Team do a fantastic job of keeping the facilities clean for our guests. We try not to disrupt our guests that are staying on the site so last week we closed for a couple of days to give it a deep clean and get it ready for the next season.
