Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked What an absolute gem. Close enough to wild camping to be wild but with enough amenities to provide the essentials ! A portable toilet that is emptied daily , pots and pans , a firepit and a bbq all supplied. I would recommend bringing a gas stove for everyday cooking .what a blessing to be without technology as we camped with our grandkids aged 10,8 and 4 years old, who loved searching for sticks and logs for the firepit, climbing trees and finding an abundance of baby frogs. The lack of any light pollution meant that stargazing by the embers of a burning fire was the perfect ending to our awesome day. The hosts were very welcoming and at hand if needed but never intrusive . We chose the lower pitch ( as I have vertigo) which still gave us amazing views across the blackdown hills . Access to the footpath into the village was easily accessible and even had the opportunity to geocache along the way. The village has a great shop and a little play park .
