Electric hardstanding and grass motorhome pitch
Liked Location
Disliked Fantastic location, unfortunately badly let down by the staff and their attitude towards customers.
We were told we couldn’t park our small SWB Transit next to our pitch despite there being plenty of room. The reason seemed to change — lack of space, fire risk, commercial vehicle, etc. Yet there were multiple commercial vehicles parked on the grass next to other pitches, several considerably larger than ours. Clearly the rules aren’t applied equally.
This also meant repeatedly walking to the van in pouring rain whenever we needed anything, while an expensive bike had to be left inside the van away from our pitch in a far less secure area.
Rather than using some common sense or trying to find a solution, the staff seemed more interested in making an unnecessary point and finding reasons to say no.
The facilities were another frustration. The showers were closed for cleaning at what seemed like the busiest possible time in the morning, just when most of the campsite was trying to shower and use the toilets. We also found toilet roll hadn’t been adequately restocked overnight, meaning there was none available first thing in the morning.
Great location, but poor customer service, inconsistent rules and some questionable decisions around the facilities really spoiled the experience. We certainly didn’t feel particularly welcome and wouldn’t rush back.

Electric grass pitch (woodland)
Liked Spacious pitches, great to have the option of the woodland pitches especially in the heat with dogs.
