Electric optional grass campervan pitch
Liked Gorgeous quiet, rural location with good wi-fi and a really helpful owner. We loved this place and would happily return.
Disliked The facilities were functional and clean, though you could hear the sounds from the other shower, toilet and washroom, which was slightly off-putting.

Liked This campsite is as good as it gets! Well organised, spotlessly clean, excellent facilities, quiet rural setting... Even the wi-fi signal was strong, even on our remote pitch pitch - almost a miracle! The small bar and restaurant were an added bonus.
Disliked Nothing to dislike.

Fully-serviced gravel and hardstanding touring pitch
Liked Large, immaculate holiday home site, with a number of touring pitches at the far end. The facilities block is particularly impressive, with heated toilet and shower sections, washing up area, separate post-beach shower and another for your dogs. Even the Elsan room was spotless and sweet-smelling! It's a 10 minute walk to the huge beach and a steep 20 minute climb up to the castle and the town.
Disliked Sadly, the otherwise excellent showers weren't adjustable, so a nuisance if you're not wanting to wash your hair and the water temperature was a bit too hot for me. The basin taps also spray, providing an extra shower when washing your hands or cleaning your teeth! Unfortunately on our second day there we were subjected to the noise from chainsaws and other machinery on the other side of the hedge, presumably from the adjoining property and nothing to do with the site management, but it lasted all day from 8am and was extremely loud.

From the manager: Thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed review of your stay. We’re really pleased to hear that you found the site immaculate and enjoyed the spacious setting, as well as our facilities block. It’s great to know the heated amenities, washing areas, and even the smaller details like the Elsan room made a positive impression. We’re also glad you were able to make the most of our location, with easy access to the beach and the walk up to the castle and town. We do appreciate your constructive feedback regarding the showers and basin taps. Your comments are very helpful, and we will certainly review these points to see where improvements can be made to enhance guest comfort. We’re sorry to hear that your stay was affected by noise from the neighboring property. As you mentioned, this is unfortunately outside of our control, but we completely understand how disruptive it must have been and regret the impact it had on your experience. Thank you again for your balanced feedback it’s invaluable in helping us continue to improve. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back for a more peaceful and equally enjoyable stay in the future. Best wishes Min Y Don

Rambling fully-serviced gravel and hardstanding motorhome pitch
Liked Large, level pitch with country views to the front and side. The few touring vans were well spread out on their allocated pitches, so it felt very private. The toilet/shower block was close by and wonderfully warm, with adjustable shower heads and lighting that wasn't on a timer - bliss! Although this is a huge site for holiday homes and static vans, the touring section is fairly small and close to the entrance, so this didn't impinge. There is a pleasant bar and well-stocked shop in the old manor house at the other side of the site.
Disliked We were instructed to go straight to our allocated pitch and then walk up to check in at the reception in main house. This wasn't a problem for us because we're fit and well and the weather was good, but it's a fair walk up a steep hill, which we weren't warned about. Also, there were only 2 showers in the male and female blocks - again fine for us because we were there midweek and off-season, but I can imagine it causing queues in the summer. Ditto with the one washing up sink. And please note that wifi isn't available on the touring pitches, though there is a decent phone signal.

Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch
Liked Really nice rural site, despite being just a stone's throw from the A41.
Lovely hot shower, with the added luxury of not having to press a button every 10 seconds!
Great wifi.
Level pitches.
Peaceful.
Disliked Didn't seem to be any recycling option for rubbish.
Discreet bin in each of the 2 toilet cubicles would be preferable to just the 1 small open bin between the wash basins.
Can imagine that 1 washing-up sink, 2M & 2F toilets and 2 unisex showers wouldn't be sufficient when the site is busy. (We stayed midweek, off-season so it wasn't a problem for us.)

Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch
Liked A really lovely little site with a thoroughly rural feel, despite being only minutes from the main road. We received a warm welcome from Jacqui and had all the amenities explained to us. The facilities were spotless and we appreciated the green ethos. We also enjoyed the warm croissants that were available for breakfast!
Disliked A bit busy in the toilets and showers first thing, with just two of each available in the 'ladies' and the same in the 'gents'.

Electric optional gravel and hardstanding pitch
Liked A lovely little site, right in the middle of the countryside. We were met by the very friendly, helpful Anne, who was standing in for the owner while he took a much-needed holiday. The toilet/shower block was well-designed and spotlessly clean. The (hilly, muddy) walk to the Lost Gardens of Heligan was clearly signed and well worth doing.
Disliked Nothing, although I can imagine that more toilets and showers might be necessary when the site is full.

Liked Attractive, well laid out site, with mature hedges offering some privacy. Decent, clean facilities and a very friendly welcome.
Disliked No obvious source of drinking water, other than at the washing up point. The water point near to us said it was only for use in the event of fire.

From the manager: Thank you so much for your lovely review. We are so sorry that you weren't made aware that all water source on site is drinkable whether it be at each water point, washing up area or amenities block. We are mains water supplied. There is a sign at each water point stating that the water is drinkable, on checking water point near your pitch, above the tap is the drinking water sign, not sure how you missed it! Please, please ask if in any doubt whilst on site.

Liked Peace and quiet, very clean facilities, large pitches.
Disliked Tiny, if spotlessly clean, toilet facility. Shower gave a choice of a hot dribble or cold with decent pressure. (I opted for lukewarm.)
