Yet another belter at Sweet Hill Farm

Aug 2026

Liked Another great stay at Sweet Hill Farm, i'm starting to lose count, but i'm sure it's at least five visits now. The site never disappoints, they always put me in my favourite field (sweet hill pasture) and being a bit of a creature of habit, i always seem to pitch in the same spot. The site seems to attract people of a similar ilk, who love the peace and tranquility and subsequently there is never any bother from noisy campers. Even the odd groups who bring along a guitar for a sing song, are very respectful of other campers and it is nice to be serenaded before dozing off, lol. I enjoy my time camping here when i'm down fishing the local marks. Hopefully i'll be back again before the weather turns.

Disliked Nothing of significance

A great little campsite for an adult get away

Jul 2026

Liked Peaceful, great shower and toilet block, no noisy campers, great location with Swanage only 1.5 miles away. Close to Studland Beaches, Corfe Castle and the stunning Durlston Country Park and coastal walks. This place is a little gem for adults. We were blessed with some cheeky Guinea Fowl with their young, feeding on the grass in front of our tent. Two boisterous farm cats that pulled over the empty bottle crate and scampered off. That made us chuckle. Highly recommend this place for a quick get away in beautiful Purbeck countryside.

Disliked Wouldn’t say disliked, but could do with extra waste bins when the site is busy.

Great site with an affordable tariff.

Jul 2026

Liked Location, simplicity of booking and checking in, lovely showers, great café, spacious pitches, ample portaloo’s, superb views, nice people, great wildlife and birds, farm vibe, not overcrowded, peaceful.

Disliked The toilets can get a bit smelly when busy, but they are cleaned regularly.

From the manager: Hey Paul What a wonderful review, thank you so much. We're so pleased that so many aspects of Sweet Hill Farm hit the mark for you; from the booking process right through to checking in, the showers, the café, the views and the wildlife. It's lovely to know that the experience felt just as we'd hope. We appreciate your honest and fair comments about the toilets. Portaloos during busy periods can of course present a challenge, and whilst our team clean them regularly throughout the day, we completely understand that on particularly busy spells they may not always be at their best. It's something we continue to monitor closely and take seriously, in the future we will have a permanent toilet block. Thank you again for such a generous review and for taking the time to share your experience so fully. We very much hope to welcome you back to Sweet Hill Farm again :)

Great little stay, excellent site

Jun 2026

Liked I have stayed at Sweet Hill Farm on three occasions now; it is a great camp and motorhome site, with simple but ample facilities for fuss free semi wild camping. The shower block and showers are cleaned daily and take a pound coin for a three minute shower. The cafe offers nice fresh bean coffee and teas, plus breakfast rolls and cakes. All of the camping fields are spacious and the site is perfectly located for nearby cliff rock climbing, fishing and walking around the cheyne section and east weares. Portland Bill lighthouse is visible from the site and withing easy walking distance.

Disliked The only let down is the toilet blocks, which can get a bit blocked and smelly when the site is busy. But, they are cleaned out daily.

From the manager: Hey Paul, Thank you so very much for this detailed and generous review :) What a compliment it is to know this is your third stay with us at Sweet Hill Farm! Your continued loyalty means the world to us all and we couldn't be more grateful. It's nice to hear you've been able to make the most of everything the site and surrounding area has to offer; from the climbing and fishing to the walks around Cheyne and East Weares. And Portland Bill visible right from the site never gets old, does it! We're also delighted to hear the showers, the fields and the café have all consistently hit the mark across your visits as maintaining those standards time and time again is something we take great pride in. Thank you also for your honest and fair comments about the toilet facilities. We completely understand that during busier periods they can present a challenge, and whilst our team work hard to clean and maintain them daily, we know they don't always meet the standard we'd ideally like. It's something we continue to look at closely as the site grows and we're grateful for your patience and understanding. In the future we will have a permanent toilet block much like the shower block to make the experience better for campers. We very much hope to welcome you back for a fourth as it's always a pleasure having you with us at Sweet Hill Farm

Great location pop up site with very limited facilities

Aug 2025

Liked Great location, peaceful with good access to the bill and its amazing walks.

Disliked The portaloo toilets are a problem, the chemical flushes don’t always work, some campers don’t clear up their own mess and they are not sanitised properly. The entrance to the site, has a steep turn and damaged concrete drive making it tricky for larger camper vans or motor homes to get in and out. The site signage at the entrance makes it difficult to see traffic coming from the left.

Cheap, but very cheerful

Jul 2024

Liked Semi rural location in a field at the back of houses in Weston Street, Weston. Easy access to all of the water sports in Portland harbour, 20 minutes from Weymouth. Great location for walking, 10 minutes walk to nearest beach and coast. Great budget priced semi wild camping.

Disliked Access track a bit bumpy, pitches are a free for all. After pitching up, I went fishing and came back to find that I couldn’t park next to my tent as others that had arrived had pitched far too close my tent. Budget pitch fees make the site popular and quite busy. No facility to wash up.

Bit expensive, but noisy

Jul 2024

Liked Great views, spacious pitches, location is great, away from the hustle and bustle of Weymouth. Suitable for all groups and camping types, families and walkers.

Disliked Price is too high for the limited portaloo and porta showers, this is semi wild camping which you can get nearby for £10 a night. Too many campers ignore the 11pm noise curfew, there were people singing and talking loudly until around 1:30am.
