St Ives, Cornwall, England
Non-electric grass pitch (large)
Liked Flat pitch, quiet spot, grassy fields where you camp are spacious and a nice area to spend time in.
Disliked 3 miles from the front of st ives, with at least a 2 mile walk on very busy windy roads with no paths. Very narrow road (even by Cornish standards) meaning van got scratched each time we had to drive along, and due to the location you do need to drive it's not a site you can safely walk anywhere from. Site is very much run down and past it's best, toilet blocks very dates, showers are a trickle, reception unstaffed, shop and bar permanently closed. Shame really as with some money spent it could be a great site, although they need to stop advertising it as near st Ives as it's such a dangerous walk in.

Non-electric grass motorhome pitch
Liked Beautiful view, good location, next door to Tesco's and 10 minutes walk into town along paths. Quiet. Facilities very clean.
Disliked Not enough facilities, 4 toilets and 3 showers, and 3 sinks, with about 50 tents/camper and on site is just not enough, so inevitably there were queues for everything which was a pain.

Fully-serviced gravel motorhome pitch (small)
Liked Walking distance to a lovely bay, facilities modern and cleaned regularly . Friendly staff. Nice park.
Disliked Noisy due to the layout, small pitches mostly on the one long road which runs through the campsite, so lots of people walking past chatting late at night, and vehicles moving right past you. Very little privacy . Whilst showers were modern, the design is ridiculous, as soon as a couple of people have showered the whole shower/toilet block floor is wet (no shower trays) and becomes muddy as people walk through. They did clean every evening, but you need to time your shower carefully! Also be mindful the pitches are slopey! Some staff drove up and down the main road staring at their phones, which was pretty concerning when kids are walking up and down the road to the park.

Disliked Bit noisy on a morning of you're pitched near the dog walking field. could do with a few extra sinks and mirrors in the ladies toilets

From the manager: Thank you for the feedback, we are sorry that the park was not for you.
Withernsea, East Yorkshire, England
Non-electric grass pitch
Liked Beautiful views, large flat field with lots of space for everyone, clean facilities.
Disliked Not the camp sites fault at all, but the local town of Withernsea is very run down and was impossible to find anywhere to eat other than takeaways which was not ideal with 2 young kids. So come prepared to cook on site!
