Electric grass pitch
Liked Absolutely wonderful sight. Great location, lovely and quiet and true to all the other reviews the shower/loo facilities are excellent and very clean. The family shower facilities are fantastic also.
We loved the picnic benches dotted around the site for people to use. The pitch sizes are lovely and big and flat. The site isn’t huge so it still felt quite private. The farm animals are great for the kids.
Against what pitch up says, there is free wifi on site although we surprisingly had decent phone signal too.
We plan on coming back to the site again to continue exploring the area.
Disliked My only very minor point is that the playground equipment is more for younger kids but this didn’t have much of an effect on us as our daughter found plenty of kids to play with and had a blast.

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch (sea view, family, wild)
Liked Everything. Lovely quiet location, good fields, nice and close to the loos and showers. Shower and washing up facilities are great. You do need to pay to use the showers but the showers are really nice and hot! Everywhere was clean and well maintained. The owner (Phil) and his brother Chris were very welcoming and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble and was nice to have a drink with them on our last night outside the tearoom on site;. I can't comment on the food in the tearoom but the chilli did smell lovely. The local area is lovely and perfect if you have a four-legged friend with you but be warned, the beach down the road is a bit muddy when the tide is out so be prepared to wash some muddy paws afterwards. The site does have plenty of space to walk around as well and the children at the site seemed to enjoy having an explore. The field did get a bit muddy on the road tracks after some heavy rain but dried out quickly and wasn't an issue in the slightest. Can't comment on wifi as didn't need it - we were more than happy going without contact with the outside world. Phil and Chris we will be back!
Disliked Nothing. The only down side is that it is a little out the way of civilisation if you don't like driving about much but this wasn't an issue for us as we were happy to take the car and explore the area.

Grass touring pitch - optional electric
Liked The site itself is beautiful. Thick forest and open spaces with pitches to suit everyone. Very quiet with everyone respecting the 10pm quiet time. Ladies facilities are good, water lovely and hot no matter what time of day. We took our dog who was made most welcome. Staff are lovely and welcoming. Fab location for most of south Devon and Dartmoor. We will be back!
Disliked Only 1 small down side (sorry!). The men's facilities could be better. Only 1 of the 2 unisex showers was working. It's a shame men don't have their own designated space as my husband did find the shower and loos taken up by women who have their own dedicated showers and loos. Also nowhere for those who like a shave and teeth brushing has to be done in the toilets as no dedicated sinks for the men. That is my only complaint but did not have a detrimental effect on our trip. Also if you are in the main pitches by reception the ground is a tad rocky (underneath not on top!) so take some good quality tent pegs.
