Electric grass and gravel campervan pitch
Liked Wonderful location. Great views across the valley. Facilities all good quality with lovely touches like flowers in the toilets.
Beach within 10 min brisk walk (20mins if you amble). The coast path is right on the doorstep.
I didnt have a firepit but the option is there if you want one which is always nice.
It feels very remote as it is at the end of a long unpaved track.
Disliked Phone signal is a little patchy so staying connected is a little challenging. Great if you want to get away from it all though!

Electric optional grass pitch
Liked Great stop off with a shady pitch under a walnut tree. We stayed one night as we travelled south and spent an afternoon relaxing after a long drive.
Very easy to find, the sat nav took us right there and David was there to meet us who was a wonderfully welcoming host.
The ablutions are very rudimentary - a composting toilet and an outside shower. I enjoyed my shower whilst being watched a horse but it may not be for everyone! Think of this as an off grid aire and you'll be just fine!

Electric grass and earth pitch
Liked Loved this place!
Super chilled and quiet. We were just outside holiday season and had the place almost to ourselves.
The river is glorious for swimming and exploring.
Plenty of towns and villages to explore nearby and lots of outdoor activities around too.
It was very, very hot while we were there but there is always shade to be found and the river is right there to cool off in.
The ablutions are basic but clean.

Non-electric grass and earth campervan, tent or trailer tent pitch (private bathroom amenities)
Liked Nice shower and the bathrooms were spotless.
The lake nearby is quite pretty to look at.
Disliked The location is very far from anything other than a cold lake.
Campsite is large but dominated by chalets and so not really a campsite. Think more centre parks rather than camp site.
Picthes are small and very rocky. No electric hookup seemed available despite being booked.
Might be ok for some people but this wasn't a site for us.

From the manager: Dear Sir, We have read your review carefully and are truly sorry to hear that your stay at Le Verdon did not meet your expectations. The campsite offers 200 spacious pitches (ranging from 80 to 120 m²), as well as 30 bungalows and 40 private sanitary facilities — like the one you booked. These facilities are all equipped with electrical outlets, although they may not always be immediately visible. Our on-site team is always available to assist and provide information, and it’s unfortunate that you didn’t reach out during your stay — we would have been happy to help ensure everything went smoothly. We still hope you were able to enjoy the region and we wish you a very pleasant day !

Electric grass and gravel pitch
Liked A really good chilled a family oriented site.
Good sized level pitch with plenty of shade.
Nice pool with plenty of loungers.
Really useful communal BBQ area.
Bread and croissants delivered daily
Small market in the campsite a couple of times a week which was nice.
Disliked Would have liked some loo seats!
Often found that the loo paper got stuck and wasn’t useable.
