Liked A lovely winery with a campsite. We stayed there 2 nights and enjoyed it a lot, despite the crazy heat. We were lucky to get the only spot with a tree though! Friendly hosts offer a wine tasting- very enjoyable and good value for money. The highlight for me was their super sweet dog who easily makes friends with the campers.

Disliked The only downside: a VERY basic toilet. We like compost toilets but they should be properly done, while this one is essentially a glorified bucket.

Liked Lovely, quiet surroundings. It wasn't the best weather, to put it mildly, so there weren't many people on the field which was perfect for me! I was travelling with my dog and we had a lot of space for ourselves. Nice walking route along the lake for me and the dog, with access directly from the campsite. Toilets and showers exceptionally clean. Very close to the beautiful Castle Howard. Worth noting that the internet reception was almost nonexistent but that's not necessarily a disadvantage!
