Liked Pizza night, feeding the animals, the view of the sunset. The staff were all lovely and really helpful.

Disliked The pitches were right next to one another and allocated so we couldn't have a more private spot. Paid £24 for 2 coffees, a can of sprite & a box of firewood.

From the manager: Hi Danielle Thank you for leaving your review - I'm glad to hear that your family had a nice time here camping at Huntstile Farm! Families with children are given priority booking into the lower orchard, as that is usually the most popular, being quite close to facilities, and having the shade from the apple trees and the additional shelter of the Roundhouse. However, we also have several other options which include some larger pitches and some that are a bit more remote, such as along the wild flower meadow and the top of the field - as we explain in the paperwork you just need to ask one of us if you would prefer to be in a different location. Price-wise: Firewood is £15 for a large crate (we also can do 1/2 crate for £7.50) and in the café our speciality coffees are £3 each (you can have a filter coffee for less) and a 330ml can of Sprite is £2.50 - the prices are on display and we give you the price for a crate of wood when you arrive. There is a Tesco express in the village and there are other options for firewood like the local garage, but our wood is well priced for the amount that you get. Liked The sense of community. The animals, the rope swing, trampoline. Facilities were clean and efficient, recycling on site, communal areas and kitchen. Fantastic hosts, so friendly and helpful. Solar lighting. We stayed in the Farm School and having the additional outside shelter was a huge plus, everywhere you looked there was something you hadn’t noticed yet, an absolute gem of a place!
