Plum Tree camping pod (hot tub)
Liked It’s hard to know where to start as just about everything was perfect. Janine communication before we had even arrived was very good. Plenty of information. Which made finding the location easy and where to park when we got there.
If you want some peace and rest you will be hard pressed to find anything better. The 3 Pods are located in a field to one side of the property. They are well spaced apart so you definitely get the feel of privacy and your own space. As they are a short walk from the carpark trolleys are available to take your baggage to your designated Pod we were in Plum which is actually the furthest away but I also think the best location for privacy.
As you enter the Pod the first thing that hits you is the level of finish it’s been decorated to a very high standard with pretty much everything you need for a stay. In fact you could turn up with just your clothes if you so wished.
Some lovely touches are milk left in the fridge, local eggs left for you to try and welcome cookies in a jar, Tea and Coffee are also available.
Janine made a point of coming out to meet us and during our stay messaged us just to confirm we were ok with everything.
Im very fussy about the beds that I sleep on due to back problems but this bed was so comfortable that I slept really well. The shower is powerful and hot which is quite something considering you are in the middle of a field.
Cooking facilities are very good with an induction hob that is rapid and a microwave. The fridge is a good size so you are able to store quite a large amount of food and drinks. There a small freezer compartment for ice if required.
The Wifi is very good with a strong connection and the TV has a great selection of channels should you wish to use it.
Our visit was New Year so we were not able to use the outside space to it full potential but I imagine it would be a great space in the summer especially the outside bath with is very well secluded. Theres a sofa area and dining table and chairs at the front in your own fenced of space with a fire pit and logs ready to use.
The attention to detail and the thought about the end user is very much apparent in everything.
We are already planning our next visit and will be booking again once dates are confirmed.
Disliked I would have only one suggestion. As there’s no power in the bathroom and rightly so. There was no mirror that my partner could to do her hair in with straighters or hair dryer. A long mirror on the inside of the cupboard might help this. But it was just a minor thing and certainly had no effect on our stay!!!

From the manager: Hi Tim, thank you for our amazing review. So thrilled you had a fabulous stay with us. We definitely appreciate all feedback and are in the process of installing full length mirrors in the wardrobe - we had never thought about being able to dry hair in front of a mirror so that is very helpful feedback. We look forward to welcoming you back in the future.

Fully-serviced grass and gravel pitch (XL, deluxe, private bathroom amenities)
Liked The Site is nicely laid out and our particular pitch was in a lovely location with 2 other pitches.
The welcome we received from James was great and he explained everything to us before we settled into our pitch.
The amenities with the pitch were very impressive with our own shower and toilet and the added bonus of a small kitchen area that was very well equipped. The shower room was as good as you would find in any good hotel very clean and well equipped.
The site shop was probably the most well stock site shop ive ever come across and you were trusted to purchase your items and put the money in the till. Which definitely unusual but added to the overall feel of the site.
Our only disappointment was the fact that Storm Gerritt hit and we had to abandon our break.
But we have already booked another visit earlier next year.
I would highly recommend this site for the attention to detail that makes the stay just that little bit more special.
Disliked I can think of anything that we disliked

Electric grass and gravel pitch
Liked The site is very relaxed and Paul the site manager has lovely way of welcoming guests.
The site is well equipped with everything you need as a Tent Camper. I decent shower for me is important and they certainly didn’t disappoint.
The site predominately Camper Van and Caravans but it made for a nice atmosphere.
Disliked The only downside was there is very little reception for 3G let alone 5G and the site wifi is not really working to well.
As we usually use our phone to find local places to visit this did prove a challenge.
This could also be looked at as a positive as it meant less time spent on your phone lol.
