Cwtch camping pod
Liked Just back from 3 fabulous nights at Spring Rock Holidays, we stayed in the Cwtch and what a cosy little wooden pod right at the lake side. The pod was perfect, spotlessly clean, with a comfy bed and everything you needed for a glamping experience. The showers and toilets were immaculate. The fishing was excellent, we caught lots of fish over the 3 days. The owner, Andrew is clearly very passionate about the site and the lakes and really cannot do enough for you. We will definitely be returning. Thank you for making my husband’s Birthday very memorable 😊
Disliked The only downside was we didn’t book for longer!

Electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Absolutely nothing!
Disliked Parkdean Southerness Dumfries, is the worst site I have ever visited, it needs a total refurbishment! The toilets and showers were not cleaned for 3 days, they were absolutely filthy, no soap, no loo roll. This was reported several times and asked when they would be cleaned. The receptionist simply responds with, I’ve had about 10 complaints in the last 10 minutes! The manager is on leave for 4 more days and they are waiting for a delivery of toilet roll? We managed to get a number for Parkdean customer services and the automated message tells us the office is closed today for staff training. I emailed Parkdean complaints and 6 days later I’m still awaiting a response. Really need to sort this, this is the basic stuff.
It would seem there is a shortage of staff and resources, with no contingency plan in place, resulting in a very poor experience for customers. The facilities are in desperate need of repair/refurbishment.
The advertisements for Parkdean paint a picture of a wonderful camping experience, with excellent facilities, amenities and a high standard of customer relations; unfortunately in reality this is not the case.
The site apparently has security but we never saw them, groups of people out in the field, drinking, shouting and smoking cannabis until 1.00am whilst their kids ran riot, is not my ideal holiday. We booked 6 nights but left after 3, we literally couldn’t stand it any longer.

Electric grass tent pitch
Liked I haven’t camped since I was a child and was a little anxious! My husband, dog and I arrived at East Fleet Farm and was greeted by staff that couldn’t do enough for us, as it was a pretty quiet week we were able to choose our pitch. The facilities were fabulous, electric and water right next to the large pitch, fabulous hot showers with a toilet and sink in each spacious cubicle and an additional large toilet block, all kept immaculately clean. The bar and restaurant was a great social place with a good selection of drinks and a good burger on the menu along with a shop that sold everything you could need, including camping accessories. There was free wi-fi, a barn with lots of activities such as table tennis and air hockey and an out door park/play area for the kids. There were also plenty of washing up areas, washers, dryers and a freezer for ice-blocks, this site really had it all. It was extremely well kept and very clean and the cove and coastal path is right on the doorstep. The location was great too, not far from anywhere, for days out along with a small complex at the top of the site road with an Aldi, Greggs, Burger King and Costa on, this was very handy whether on your way out or on your way back. It was my first time in Dorset but definitely won’t be my last and we’re already looking forward to trying out some of the other Away Resorts very soon! Thank you for a fabulous week, we all feel so relaxed!
Disliked Nothing to dislike at East Fleet Farm
