Liked Lovely site with excellent facilities. Orcaber is clean and tidy site with lots of space and stunning views. It has a handy shop on site for essentials and only a short walk into the local village. The free wifi is handy for staying connected as phone signal is weak in the area. They are extremely good at accommodating disabilities too and made sure I was able to access all the areas I needed with my assistance dog. I highly recommend this site, it's in a good location for the Yorkshire 3 peaks!

Disliked This was my 2nd visit to Orcaber. On the first a family next to my pitch was up till the early hours partying. It wasnt until I left that I discovered that the rules enforce a strict 11pm curfew on noise and I could've reported it. This time when similar issues occurred I checked the leaflet. Unfortunately it does clearly say to ring and I instead sent a text not wanting to wake others up and so didn't get a rapid response. I can understand why its set up this way but I was concerned about making an enemy of myself making a phone call within audible distance of those I was reporting. I wouldn't let this put anyone off though and will return myself next time, there's a small room with leaflets and a freezer so I would make a call from there next time if needed.

Liked I was the only tent here during my stay and the site is absolutely stunning. The pitches are spacious and the stone table and bench is very useful! I had a lovely welcome by the host who showed me around the facilities. These were perfectly adequate, the shower was hot and refreshing after a day of hiking and the loos were clean and functional. The wash up tap provides wonderfully hot water ( hot enough to fill my hot water bottles ) which made washing up very easy. The pitch itself was flat, clean and clear with lovely views and friendly cow neighbours. My dog loved it here so much she didn't want to get in the car to go home! Loads to do nearby with the sandstone trail ( I walked out and back northwards on my first afternoon and then south to Whitchurch catching the bus back to Duckington and then walking across to Bickerton from there ). There's plenty of castles and gardens to explore and the brilliant Stretton WaterMill which is a fun little museum! I typically choose campsites with ice pack freezing or a fridge but the great British weather meant that wasnt much of an issue during my stay. If this was ever added though I would definitely be back for a longer duration and with family!

Liked Wonder site with stunning views. As a solo female traveller I felt safe staying here. Clean facilities that are regularly maintained. Flat entrance to the facilities, there is no larger toilet but there is a larger shower for the disabled and a stool is provided upon request.
