Liked Lovely staff. Great camping ground. Good food vendors. Clean site with good showers and toilets

Disliked Vans parked too close together. Within 3 metres! I couldn't even wind my shade out. Like parking in a car park. I left early as this was not comfortable for me. In this heat I felt it was also a fire hazard being so close.

Liked Pub owners were pleasant enough

Disliked The pitch was very close to a main road which was busy all night. We didn't get a lot of sleep. There was a lot of discarded things laying around the site. Ie. Broken tables, kids toys. It all seemed very run down

From the manager: Hi Dawn, we were made aware of the broken picnic table yesterday and have now rectified this, unfortunately things get broken and as its quite a big and busy family site we don't always see these things straight away. the toys are for the children to play with who visit our site as previously stated we are family based campsite so apologies if this upset you. Liked Very clean. Tidy. Everything in its place. Toilets/showers spotless. Owners very nice and helpful. Felt very safe for lone traveller. Great place to stop over encounter to another place. Close to the town and railway.

Liked Quiet site, no road noise. tranquil and peaceful. Level site with lovely views across the fields. Owners are very friendly and helpful. Fair price. Great for a 1 night stop over. Train track right next to the field with regular trains but this didn't disturb us at all. Only 1 toilet for men and 1 toilet for ladies. 1 shared shower. Condition was fair but looked a little tired.

Disliked A bit remote for us. Pubs not in the immediate vacinity, 25 min walk and there isn't a footpath all the way. But some may love that.
