Yurt
Liked Logburner
Disliked No 2 ring gas hob in Yurt, although photos and description says there is.Freezing cold and you can't boil a kettle in Yurt for hot water to wash in..Thank God we've a campervan. Was expecting a peaceful break but the Farmer worked all Christmas Day using heavy machinery. An experience not to be repeated!

From the manager: I am sorry you were so disappointed with your stay. I do wish you had contacted me as the hob could easily have been carried into the yurt instead. I did think you must have been very cold as you used barely any wood. It was extremely cold over xmas and although the yurt is fully insulated it definitely needs the woodburner lit throughout your stay and ideally, a kettle of hot water kept on top of the hot stove. I am very sad it was such a poor experience for you.

Non-electric grass tent or motorhome pitch
Liked Everything.Perfect campsite for us.Nicola was very welcoming and she works really hard at keeping the facilties clean and organizing the pitches. She has her own family to look after as well as the farm and her Uncle.Unlike some anonymous chumps on here,we found Uncle Ivor to be a friendly character and didn't mind him stopping by for a quick chat as all of the other campers agreed..
The views are amazing even in bad weather. Can't wait to return.
Disliked Leaving.
