You can pitch where you like…

Aug 2026

Liked You can pitch where you like in the field and it wasn't too crowded. The facilities are basic but adequate - a few toilets, a couple of sinks and showers. A short walk through the woods to St Loy Cove - rocks only, but we saw a seal there. A longer walk along the coast path (or a short drive) to Lamorna Cove, which has a sandy beach at low tide, a car park (cash only) and a nice cafe. You can also get a bus from Lamorna to Lands End and you can see the Merry Maidens stone circle at Boskenna nearby. St Buryan has a good Londis and a pub and cafe (only went in the Londis).

Disliked Men's showers only cold - there was a unisex one as well as 2 female showers, but temperature of water in showers was variable.

Wonderful quiet site

Aug 2026

Liked This campsite is exactly how camping should be! A farm site that's not crowded, relaxed and well managed with plenty of toilets and washing facilities and hot showers. Russell is a great host and I loved the handwritten signs. You can freeze your ice blocks and even charge your phone for £1. It's in a beautiful valley with buzzards and curlews flying overhead and not far from St Ives and Zennor. We did lots of walking on the coast path and found great beaches at Veor Cove near Zennor (v steep walk down), and Portheras Cove near Morvah.

Disliked Having to leave.

The Eco Park is great as…

Aug 2026

Liked The Eco Park is great as an events space. It has a nice bar with live music some nights, and a fantastic wild sauna called Soul Sweats (£13.50 for one hour). That was my favourite thing about the site! We also got takeaway pizza one night from the space near the bar. It's a 20 minute walk from Porthtowan beach which is great for surfing/bodyboarding - the walk is quite steep but the views are great. Chapel Porth, Trevanaunce Cove and Portreath are also good beaches in the area. There is a shop on site but it only sells knick knacks - there's a basic food shop in Porthtowan and a fish and chip shop, but you have to order in advance! The atmosphere is generally chilled - mostly young families. A nice spot if you want a fun weekend with your kids or a short stay.

Disliked The marked out camping field is nicely laid out, but very near the bar so probably quite noisy in the evening. We were in the 'wild camping' field and could hear the music until late at night. So maybe not ideal if you're looking for a quiet camping experience. The wild camping field was very crowded and there weren't enough toilet or washing facilities - only 3 Portaloos, which were sometimes blocked, plus a couple of compost toilets. One sink for washing up and 2 showers (good and hot). If you fancy a long walk, you can go to the flush toilets - but there are only 4 for the whole campsite, 3 small sinks and 2 showers which aren't always hot. The space is a nice idea, but the owners should think about restricting numbers or providing more facilities. We left a day early.

Basic farm site

Jul 2026

Liked A no frills campsite on a working dairy farm. Sally the owner is helpful and friendly. Let us have a campfire which was great. Beautiful sunsets. You can walk from the site into Tintagel or if you prefer to avoid the crowds, take the route through the Rocky Valley to Bossiney Haven and Benoath Cove - great for swimming. Toilets and showers are kept clean and water is hot. You can pitch where you like although it's sloping in parts.

Disliked There are only 3 toilets (unisex), 2 sinks and 2 showers. This isn't really enough toilets for the amount of people camping there in the summer. You have to collect 50ps for the shower - you need 2 for 4 minutes. Pound coins would probably be easier to get hold of!

Lovely family site

Jul 2026

Liked This is a really lovely family site. The pitches are spacious and separated by long grass which makes them feel more private. Charles kindly gave us a large double pitch for us and our 3 adult children and we were in Parke West field, which I think was the best field as we couldn't see the army barracks. Although we could still hear the shouting, whistling and trumpeting, but this was quite entertaining. Also a drone often flew overhead - was this the army spying on us?! Of more interest were the bats who swooped low over our heads every evening and the crickets that sang in the long grass - and occasionally came in the tent. Facilities here are very good - a toilet block in each field plus wet room showers in the main field - hot showers and not too busy. Plus a handy shop on site. Great location for the coast path and many lovely beaches - we particularly liked Church Doors and Skrinkle Haven, but Freshwater West is nearer. Nearest is Broadhaven - we walked from there to Barafundle, a good walk on a cloudy day. Loved the walk from Freshwater to Angle and walked up to the Green Bridge of Wales on the Sunday - this is through the firing range so not always open.

Disliked Not much - only that all the sinks are on the cistern of the toilet so not ideal for washing or cleaning teeth, but you get used to it!

Unique and beautiful, very secluded

Jul 2026

Liked Beautiful campsite set in a nature reserve - so many dragonflies, bats in the evening, red kites flying overhead. Very spacious pitches and very secluded. Never had such privacy on a campsite - wonderful. If we lived closer, we'd come here regularly. Just be aware facilities are basic - two loos and no hot water for washing up. Two showers with hot water though. Fire pit provided free of charge, logs at a cost. We walked to the local pub in Thakeham to watch the football (England vs Norway). Lovely pub but I'd say its a 20 minute walk and make sure you take a torch and wear trousers as lots of brambles in one section!

Disliked Nothing really - in very hot weather it's hard to keep food cool, but appreciate this isn't a campsite offering all mod cons! It's expensive but worth it.

Jul 2026

Liked Friendly and helpful staff. Plenty of toilets which were always clean. Lovely hot showers. Lucky to find a nice shady spot - its basically a big flat field but there are trees around the edges. Nice relaxed site, rules clearly stated and great you can have campfires. Lovely view of the Downs.

Disliked Personally I would probably avoid summer weekends in future, as there don't seem to be any restrictions on the number of campers and people can pitch anywhere. So it did feel a little crowded and chaotic, although most campers were respectful. Only a few playing amplified music or radios. But you may like that kind of thing - when I go camping I prefer to listen to the birds 😀

From the manager: Thank you for your lovely review! We're delighted you enjoyed the friendly team, clean facilities, hot showers and views of the South Downs. It's great to hear you found a nice shady spot too. We appreciate your comments about busier summer weekends. School holiday weekends are naturally our busiest time of year, and, they do have a livelier atmosphere than quieter weekdays or off-peak weekends. We're glad to hear that, overall, fellow campers were respectful. We'd love to welcome you back to Bramley Park Camping for a quieter stay in the future. Harry & the Bramley Park Camping Team

Lovely peaceful campsite

May 2026

Liked Beautiful and peaceful campsite. Basic facilities but clean and welcoming. It's a huge field surrounded by woods so you can camp where you like - we chose a shady spot which was perfect during the "heatwave". Great that you can have campfires and good value for money. Owner is friendly but leaves you alone and other campers were very respectful, despite it being a bank holiday weekend. Would definitely return.

Disliked Facilities for freezing ice blocks would be greatly appreciated. There were no electric pitches available when I booked, but in fact the electric pitches were quite close together and not in the shade. I was very happy with our pitch but being able to keep food fresh would have helped, particularly for a longer stay.

Beautiful site

Sept 2025

Liked Lovely campsite! Owners are very friendly and helpful but it's also quite a chilled place and we felt very private and relaxed there. Facilities are great - they have thought of everything - and enjoyed using the fire pit, although could have done with more kindling. It's a couple of miles from Rye - Lovely walk via footpaths.

Disliked Only complaint is that the automatic light sensors in the bathroom don't stay on very long and consequently I had to step out of the shower in the dark to reactivate it! There is also some traffic noise from the road but not too bad.

Good quiet site

Aug 2025

Liked Very spacious and well appointed pitches - we had an electric hardstanding pitch. Didn't really need hardstanding but the electric grass pitches were full. Nice to have a picnic table. There's a "wild camping" field (ie non electric) opposite which was very peaceful. Toilets and showers are great! Very modern and clean enough, plenty of hot water. Good location close to Padstow/Polzeath. Didn't meet the owner but apparently they do cream teas on Thursday, Friday and Saturday afternoons.

Disliked Glad we didn't go in the electric grass field as it was full of barking dogs, particularly right by the footpath. Thankfully they were on leads. No ventilation in the bathrooms - gets v hot and steamy, unfortunately the windows are locked. Washing up sink is outside and there is no light.

From the manager: Hi Lydia, Glad you enjoyed your stay with us. Sorry about dogs being noisy it is in our rules for them to be kept as quiet as possible. The showers both (mens and ladies) do have extractor fans above showers I will check they are operating correctly. (I could have charged extra for sauna maybe ) will also check windows they shouldnt be locked. Shame you didnt pop into farmhouse we are always there for a chat. Best regards

Lovely site, great value for money.

Aug 2025

Liked Very friendly owner who's easily contactable and helpful. Great views over Boscastle and the coast. Nice quiet site with good, clean facilities. You can have a firepit/barbecue if raised off the ground. Electric hookup available. Boscastle a few miles away with lovely pubs, 2 small shops, also a great farm shop/cafe nearby. Fantastic walks in the area.

Disliked Gets windy up there! Quite a lot of caravans which tend to block the view but many have their own toilets so the facilities don't get too busy.
