Liked Great size pitches, lovely peaceful place . Friendly owners. Great site for those wanting a true camping experience but with toilets and shower ! Use of fridge freezer was a bonus Good for families or couples who want a quiet camping experience

Disliked I like to play some quiet background music whilst pitched up but there is no music allowed on this site at all

Liked Great location and friendly , helpful accommodating owners . The toilet facilities were clean and it was great to have the opportunity to have the free use of a fire pit . The site has is great great for all ages and you are able to pick your own pitch with lots of room between pitches . Good base to walk the Monsal trail and will definitely visit again

Liked Standard of Toilet and shower facilities ,loved how music was played within them. The on-site catering was good value for money and also good homemade quality, especially the pies . Lovely walk from the site giving us an opportunity to see deer ,hares and buzzards .The site was kept clean and COVID provisions were put in place in communal areas .Helpful friendly staff that run the site .

Disliked The pitches were a bit tight and no privacy between each pitch , which I am normally used to when camping,with small hedges . I'd advise future campers to use windbreakers to resolve this . The site was almost at full capacity, which is to be expected during the summer holidays and more of us opting for staycations and this put a strain on toilet and shower facilities, adding another block would definitely would reduce congestion. Another water point would also be beneficial too . The site has a park area which is great for younger children but not much to accommodate older children; my son is football mad but there was no designated field area to facilitate this , I suppose if the campsite isn't at full capacity, there would be more space but during our stay , this wasn't possible. An indoor games room would also be a great addition too , especially for those evenings when the weather isn't too great . The bypass is quite close to the campsite and was quite busy , the sound didn't bother us too much , as our pitch was set back from the road .The site had WiFi but the location of our pitch didn't have a good connection so didn't benefit from it

Liked All amenities were high quality and we're well maintained throughout the our 2 week stay. All the staff were very friendly and efficient. The pool was suprisingly warm and my children spent many hours in there. The pitches are a great size , allowing plenty of space outdoor space even with our large outwell tent with an extension. We'll stocked shop that wasn't too expensive. Good takeaway service , that was reasonable and handy especially on arrival dept date.

Disliked A later check out time on your dept date would be great as getting packed before 11am would have been a mission impossible for us. We left a day earlier to give us more time to pack without the stress. Quite a lot of people did the the same as us . An extra shower block would be an advantage ; the shower cubicles were great but there are only 5 .Mobile reception is shocking for Virgin and Vodafone users ( not sure about other networks)free wifi would be a bonus!
