Dune electric optional grass pitch
Liked Fantastic spot, something a little different.
Pitched in the dunes in earshot of the ocean.
Staff are friendly and efficient.
There's a lot of activity from children playing to folk taking to the beach for a surf.
Facilities were modern, stocked and shower was hot. This is a busy site so you may have to wait your turn for a shower, but only 5 minutes or so, not a worry really.
Beach is lovely for a walk or a dip.
Sunset was amazing.
Mobile reception is very poor from the dunes, but there is reception if you stand by the beach steps.
Disliked It's not even a dislike, but I know some folk are rather fussy.
There's nothing the site can do here, but shower cleanliness (when busy) is down to the campers, who did their bit, but, there is only so much that can be done with a squeegee while trying to make way for the next camper.

Liked Location.
Staff very friendly and helpful.
Pitches are a good size and have great views down the valley, plenty of shade to be had also.
All utilities are modern, clean, well stocked and the shower was hot.
Mobile reception was good.
Food truck outside.
Disliked Zilch.

Electric optional grass and gravel pitch
Liked Lovely warm welcome from the owners who have recently taken over the site and have plans to build upon what is already a very pleasant location.
Pitch choice was up to me so I chose a shaded area of what looks like an old orchard.
The theme of this site is charming rustic character, but that doesn't mean the standards are low, the utilities are perfectly clean and stocked, everything a camper needs.
There is a B&B on site too and guests mingle together if that's your thing.
Mobile phone reception was great.
Herzlichen Dank.
Disliked Nothing to add.

Liked Sunny.
A tree.
Mobile phone reception to book the next site with.
Disliked My mother says, 'if you've nowt good to say, then say nothing'.
But I'm a rebel and I don't do what mum says.
On arrival, with a booking, I was told site was full so will have to camp in 'overflow' pitches to the left.
I went to the spot pointed at and was happy to find a pitch under a tree...with litter...and odd bits of timber.
Pitches tent against better judgement.
Went for a shower...STONE COLD. Very run down and tired facilities.
Went walking around site, to find 60% of pitches, much much nicer pitches, were empty...how strange.
Evening came and music arrived from the traveller community over the road, which I had been asked to pitch next to.
Spent my time listening to various unusual songs, mopeds, cars and vans.
The music subsided eventually but the random vehicles coming and going from the traveller site was endless.
Unpacked everything from my bike and lock my bike up, which is the first time I've felt the need while camping.
Woke in the morning and got the flip out of Dodge.
This might be your thing though.

Electric grass and earth tent pitch (solo)
Liked Welcoming staff.
Tidy site.
All services were spotless and the show was HOT, fantastic. Toilet roll in all stalls, so those who struggle to remember their own will be fine.
Plenty of shade of required, you pick your pitch, only down side it that a lot of spots are on a gentle slip, but you won't fall out of bed.
Food and drink available in the hotel opposite, which is where you book in, cash is preferable.
Mobile connection was good, don't know about WiFi options.
Disliked Nothing to report other than the mild slope to some pitches.

Liked Very well kept grounds.
Friendly and helpful staff.
Select a pitch on arrival, all of good size.
Plenty of shaded pitches, surrounded by farmers fields so views are good, and wildlife.
Service were exceptionally clean and well stocked, yes folks even toilet paper for the forgetful.
Showers are hot.
Short walk to village.
On the edge of small forest of you fancy a walk.
Good mobile connection.
Didn't try WiFi so can't comment.
Pitches available on arrival if you haven't booked, pay at the machine by the barrier with your card, cost effective option.
Disliked No dislikes at all.

Communial area with food and drink, games and plenty of seating.
My second time here and site is consistent with it's delivery.
Short walk into the village.
Good mobile connection.
Didn't try WiFi so can't comment.
Disliked Nothing to complain about with this one, otherwise I wouldn't have visited twice.

Electric grass touring pitch
Liked Top of the like list are the owners, a beautiful young family who are achieving their dream, which is reflected in the site and the work they themselves have put in this year to bring this place back to life once again.
You won't meet a more friendly couple, always there to help or just chat. They themselves live on site in the beautiful old house so are never too far away, just ring the bell if you can't find them.
A well established environment that has a spacious feeling and plenty of character. Select a shaded pitch or a place in the sun, you decide (space allowing of course).
Seating areas dotted around including a fire pit, paths through the long grassed areas and woods to ramble through.
The sanitary area is absolutely spotless, modern and well stocked with toilet paper, hand towels and hand wash. Powerful showers, hot water at all basins including clothes washing area.
There's a small selection of foods and drinks available on site, a play area and a games room.
You'll be situated in the peaceful countryside setting, which means zero road noise. Even so, phone signal is great and streaming isn't a problem, I believe there is WiFi available by the communal area.
I had initially booked for one night but as soon as I stepped of my motorbike I was greeted with a smile. After chatting to the family for some time and then pitching my tent, I decided to stay another night.
Not many places give me 'the vibe' but this spot has the welcoming peaceful atmosphere we search for when camping.
Added to my favourites so hopefully I'll be back.
Thank you to the family, keep your dream alive and thank you for sharing.
Disliked Leaving.... obviously.
Having itchy feet and having to keep moving, could have stayed for days.

Electric optional grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked A friendly greeting was the beginning of a lovely stay. The camp and facilities could not be cleaner, nor could the site have more character.
There are toilet rolls on offer which is most important for some campers ;)
Paper towels and soap dispensers at wash basins.
Shower is 50c and the entire shower block is heated for your comfort.
Pitches are well kept and serviced, nice and level too.
Great phone reception for streaming.
Small shop at reception offering a selection of drinks.
Okay area for children, sand based so nice and safe.
The owners are very friendly as is the history of their family and the campsite ownership.
I spent a single night and felt totally relaxed and rested, very peaceful site which is away from busy roads.
Open all year round.
Thanks for a brilliant stay.
Disliked Nothing to report.

Electric optional grass pitch
Liked Greeted by my name being called from across the field, then offered a drink, being British I chose a nice cup of tea of course, although other beverages were offered.
Now, if that doesn't tell you everything about the site owners (a wonderful couple, happy to chat and help you settle in) and their attentiveness nothing will.
They have a pride for their site as they built it from nothing, I personally admired that fact, again that should tell you something about their view and high standards when it comes to maintaining the grounds and facilities. It was more than acceptable, the shower hot and powerful, toilet clean, dishwashing area spotless, pitches well sized giving 360 degree views.
The site is indeed small, which brings the personal touches, and some GLAMpours will enjoy the free hand wash, the free toilet paper, the free paper towels, they'll love the toilet seat AND lid, the removable shower head will bring them joy (stop it), they won't need to worry about any mould on the shower curtain as there wasn't any, nor will they need to be concerned about dirt in the corners of the sanitary unit, again because there wasn't any.
Now I did bring a little grass in on my right flip flop, but I made sure I left the room as I found it with the famous (yes I've read other reviews) squeegee and pushed those 8 blades of grass straight back out.
After my shower I noticed the water gathering in the trap that I'd read about, and then the funniest thing happed...while I dried off and got sorted, without me noticing, gravity had worked it's magic and that water had disappeared, who knew?
Phone reception was perfectly acceptable for a bit of streaming, so the lack of WiFi wasn't an issue.
Very peaceful area, no barking dogs in the distance, no cockerel calls early morning.
True campers will appreciate a well maintained campsite, in fact that sentence could have been my entire review.
Oh yes, and my accommodation was absolutely phenomenal.
Disliked Nothing to dislike at all.

Liked Friendly greeting.
Beautiful setting surrounded by waterways and lakes.
Pitches are well presented and level.
A few shower blocks on site so no waiting your turn, plenty of hot water and very clean. All services are clean and in great condition.
Morning bread service available as are pizzas made on site.
Very peaceful site, plenty of bird song into the evening, Swallows feeding I to the evening which must be eating all the midges as I didn't see any at all.
This is my second visit, once on motorbike and once in campervan.
Didn't use WiFi but phone service is great on site.
Disliked Nothing to dislike, which is why I returned.

Electric optional grass and earth pitch
Liked This site is an example of how camping should be. Very friendly staff, soap, shower gel, razors, bin bags are all available for free.
Clean, hot showers and toilets are heated and a pleasurable experience this time of year. Grass pitch was mud free so no mud on shoes every time you step out.
Telephone service was okay for streaming. I did not try WiFi.
Games area at the side of the river, as are a number of pitches.
Village has a Spar shop and a variety of other local coffee shops, shops and the like.
Disliked I honestly can't think of anything to dislike.

Electric optional grass and earth tent pitch
Liked Campsite full of character, terraces cut into the hillside.
On arrival I was met by the owners who were friendly from the start, offering me a drink as I was hot from a long day's ride.
My pitch had the wonderful view over the bay as do all other pitches. They also have tables, chairs and benches provided. My pitch was a sand base that made for a very comfortable floor, not the hard ground usual found in sunnier climates.
The sanitary block was perfectly clean and well equipped. The shower I chose to use had a removable showerhead making my shower experience absolutely perfect.
WiFi on pitch is available for free, my phone reception wasn't great but functional, if that's important to you.
There is a bar for drinks and homemade pizza available in the evening, the bar area was great for a social gathering area.
This campsite is definitely unlike any other due to the character of the setting and the family owners, who couldn't do enough to make my stay perfect. There is a pride in their ownership and they definitely want you to enjoy their site, wonderful people.
Disliked For me there was nothing to dislike.
Some people may struggle with the steep, bumpy concrete road to the terraces and the carpark. I was on a well loaded motorcycle and arrived to my pitch without any issues (remember, speed is your friend). I turned around at the top and entered my terrace downhill.

Electric optional grass tent pitch (no pets)
Liked Friendly family owners. The entire site was impeccably clean, the sanitary building is in "as new" condition and way above average standard. For those who need it, there are free toilet paper and soap dispensers. Hot water readily available. Hot shower with plenty of power is 50 cent for 4 minutes, change is easily available at reception.
WiFi is 1 euro per day and there are antennas located all over the site, phone reception is also perfect, plenty enough for streaming if required.
The landscaping and pitches are well cared for and spotlessly clean, after pitching my tent I sat at the picnic table for my lunch while watching the carp in le pond and wildlife around it, very peaceful.
My stay was in a tent and my pitch was lush soft grass, no mud. There are no vehicles allowed in the caravan and tent area, parking was immediately next to the camping area so no long walks and there are plenty of carts around to transport your goods to your pitch. Caravans are delivered to pitch by the owner and his little tractor.
Campervans stay on a separate field which faces west and you can watch the sunset over the village.
My stay was extremely peaceful and relaxing, all campers were respectful and polite which I feel is a reflection of the atmosphere this campsite delivers.
There's a small, safe play area for the children to play on swings and other rides, a few pedal cars for them and a pen with chickens and rabbits.
There is a small village 10 minutes walk away along a quiet, dyke lined country lane.
Disliked Nothing at all,.After 2 weeks travel staying on a different campsite every night, I have to say this was by far the cleanest in every area, and also the most modern/up to date site I visited, it is clear that there has been a huge investment made to get to this standard.
Some people may not like not being able to park their vehicle next to their pitch, I was on a motorcycle and was happy to park on the block paved parking area and take the 20 second walk to my pitch.
