Yelvertoft, Northamptonshire, England
Non-electric gravel touring pitch
Liked Single pitch site next to canal, hard standing, self check in.
Wildlife all around, red kite in the middle of the road as I left.
Being really picky you can hear the A14 in the distance but the birdsong in the morning drowns it out.

Liked This is a brilliant little site next to Bourton on the water.
The slaughters are in easy walking distance.
Hawkshead brewery is a couple of fields over so you can't hear it but the night I visited they had street food, a bar, and a singer.

Ellesmere, Shropshire, England
Non-electric grass campervan pitch
Liked Adult only site with well spaced out pitches.
This is an undulating site with opportunity to be in the dip to be sheltered from the wind or go up onto ridge to get the views, and as such all the pitches in the field I was in weren't completely level.
Site consists of three fields and I was free to choose my own pitch.
So being in a campervan and going out in the day it meant the pitch I had on the first night was occupied on my return-but that's one of the usual drawbacks of having a campervan

Buxton, Derbyshire, England
Electric grass and gravel touring pitch
Liked This is a lovely no frills site on a working farm.
Views are incredible.
Only a short distance off the main A515, but far enough away not to hear the traffic.
Bear in mind this is a working farm, for example the weekend I was there they were cutting and collecting hay in the next field, and you have to drive through the farm yard to get to the pitches.
But this is such a wonderful site it is a small price to pay for the views.
