Unplug, unwind and take in the simple life at this peaceful dog-friendly homestead eight miles from Kiln in Mississippi. With animals, fruit trees, veg, a pond and a creek, Creekside Farm invites you to fish for your dinner in the pond and gather eggs for breakfast. There’s sand by the creek (a top spot to watch squirrels play or meditate) and a wooded acreage alongside a flowing creek bed.
Snack-wise, there are farm breads and biscuits with homemade jellies up for grabs. Depending upon the season, guests can pick wild blackberries or some of the other available farm produce. That’ll give you a good glimpse into the daily life on Creekside Farm.
With the peaceful beach at Bay St Louis and kayaking activities within half an hour’s drive of the farm, there are plenty of opportunities for a lazy day paddling or fishing on the Mississippi coast. New Orleans, the so-called ‘Big Easy’, is also an hour and five minutes’ drive away from Creekside Farm.
Pick up any extra supplies you need from Kiln or Diamondhead, both 15 minutes’ drive away. There’s a covered outdoor kitchen on site where you can get chopping and cooking. Other facilities include a cold-water shower and a toilet.
