Are you up for a stunning setting in Spain? Then prepare to pitch up at Campsite A' Vouga, in a gorgeous Galicia seaside spot, right on a lush beach with easy access to the handsome old harbour town of Muros. There's a direct path to the sands from here, as well as spectacular sea views from the pitching field and easy access to the scenery and hundreds of beaches around the Muros and Noya estuary and surrounding Galician coast. Venturing off exploring, the world-famed cathedral of Santiago de Compostela, the destination point of the pilgrimage route St James's Way, is about an hour to the east. Whichever type of day out you plump for, you'll surely seek to investigate Galician cuisine fully while in this part of Spain – so return of an evening to settle down in the excellent Campsite A' Vouga restaurant, which dishes up traditional Galician recipes (as well as international options if the kids are being picky). All food is prepared with locally sourced ingredients: sample some of the freshly caught fish and seafood for particularly flavoursome fare. Campsite A' Vouga is set in front of the mighty pretty Monte Louro, which rises up from the estuary over the water. It's a spacious, friendly and well-maintained site, with roomy pitches, a cleanly-kept toilet and shower block, a laundry room and a washing-up area. The site is dog friendly.

Campsite A' Vouga is at the northern entrance of the Muros and Noya estuary, niftily set for lengthy days in the Galician outdoors fishing, hiking, sailing, surfing, cycling or just getting sandy on one or several of the many local beaches. Potter around local harbour town Muros while you're here, to see its scenic harbour, pretty promenade and boats setting out to sea, before tapas and a beer at one of the seafront restaurants. Across the bay, the old seaport town of Ribeira is worth the hour and 10-minute drive for its seafood and sardine eateries, one of the busiest fish markets in Spain, and viewsome scenes from the San Roque park among the hills overlooking the town and coast. It's well worth the hour or so drive east to Galician capital Santiago de Compostela to see the cathedral marking the end of the famed pilgrimage route of St James – particularly as you can drive there rather than wearily trekking hundreds of footsore kilometres like the pilgrims of yore…

Liked: Great location close to the beach and the food at the restaurant was great, also close to the village and other lovely beaches a short drive away

Liked: The site boasts an incredible location right on the stunning beach, offering breathtaking views. The restroom facilities are good – showers are a little hit and miss, and the on-site restaurant serves excellent seafood dishes.

Disliked: Could do with a small shop selling a few essentials - they do sell breads, water, gas & ice cream

Liked: The staff went out of their way to help us when the motorhome broke down. Beautiful setting on the lovely white sand beach Great food

Disliked: The toilet facilities could do with some updating. There is no shop on site so one needs to stock up before arrival

Liked: Lovely location, right by a beautiful beach (saw dolphins passing by). Restaurant very good. The pitches with sea views are quite compact but we chose one a bit further back and had plenty of room. Walking distance from the town. Women’s shower block was very clean. Would definitely return.

Disliked: Leak in men’s toilets and floor was partially flooded. If it hadn’t have been for that it would have been perfect.

Liked: Lovely location overlooking the bay .All good services .Very friendly staff. Nice bar and restaurant.Fresh bread daily if you ordered the day before.WiFi good but you had to stand in the reception area for a good connection.We biked to the nearest Supermarket which ch was 10 minutes away for provisions.Will recommend for sure.
