This Costa Brava campsite is mighty easy to get to – and to stroll from for days' worth of hiking in highly handsome surroundings… Camping Palamós is near the C31 connecting the main towns of the Costa Brava with the city of Girona (have days' worth of sightseeing here too), and is close to the GR 92 hiking trail, crisscrossing Catalonia for 580 kilometres on its lengthy and lovely way to Cádiz, Andalucía.
As it's on the Costa Brava, Mediterranean sands and waters are within easy reach of here too – Playa Cala Margarida beach is within easy strolling distance and La Fosca beach is 10 minutes away – and as a family-friendly place Camping Palamós has a goodly amount to do on site for all ages too.
Kids and their keepers have access to two pools, playgrounds and sports facilities of all sorts including for football, volleyball, padel, tennis and basketball, all alongside activities for kids and aqua gym classes for grownups, running in high season.
Food is sorted at the site restaurant and well-stocked shop, views sorted at the bar terrace looking out to sea, and amenities well covered at the cleanly-kept shower and toilet blocks, washing-up area and launderette.

Local attractions
The Costa Brava setting of Camping Palamós means it's a topping and popular spot for watersports such as diving, surfing, boating, sailing and windsurfing; on land, popular picks are trekking, hiking and cycling.
Palamós is a famed fishing village and is known for its fresh prawns; go to sample them in the restaurants around the old port, or learn the tale of the town in its fishing museum. Another old local industry is covered at the Cork Museum in Palafrugell.
Also around are the Iberian ruins at Castell beach, half an hour's walk from the site; the ceramics of pottery centre La Bisbal; hikes around the GR 92, and the bike rides around the greenways from the Costa Brava into Girona and further into Catalonia.
Camping Palamós is about 46 kilometres from Girona and 110 from Barcelona: you might want to book your berth on site for another couple of weeks...
