Camping Cinco Castaños

It's a short stroll from Camping Cinco Castaños to its local village of Candelario, and a short drive (20 kilometres) to sliding down the slopes with some skiing at La Covatilla. Top picks include roaming around the ruins of Caparra at Extremadura about two hours' drive away; the short drive to the Jewish quarter in Hervás; and the ninth-century fortified town Granadilla as well as the walled market city of Plasencia, both about an hour away. Also about an hour away is Salamanca, the ancient Celtic settlement with a UNESCO World Heritage Site Old City and a buzzing vibe because of its thousands of students. La Alberca and the town of Ciudad Rodrigo are also within driving distance.
