Smart and stylish accommodation meets stunning surroundings at La Dehesa Experiences, part of a 65-acre rural property in an Andalusia biosphere reserve.
Up here in the Sierra Morena you’ll be staying at a sturdy safari tent built high up off the ground to give you fabulous views out over the surrounding mountains, and with a deck that puts you in prime position for catching a glimpse of wildlife like eagle owls, golden eagles or even the Iberian lynx. That deck is also a splendid place for some excellent stargazing – this area is certified as a Starlight tourist destination thanks to the lack of light pollution. You’ll be provided with binoculars and a telescope so you can make the most of the views at all times of day.
The ensuite tents have been designed to blend with their surroundings and preserve the environment – they’re all made from natural materials and set among ancient oaks for complete privacy. Eco-friendly features include solar energy, electric buggies and a natural well for water, while the luxury touches in each tent include air conditioning, a Smart TV, designer furniture and a fabulous private outdoor pool.
Of course, top-quality bed linen is provided, along with some handy extras like a coffee maker, microwave and toaster. Breakfast is included in your booking, and you'll also be able to order lunches and dinners (all made with local produce) accompanied by wines from the wine cellar.
You’ll probably feel wonderfully removed from real life here – but when you do want to get out and about you’ll be pleased to hear that the A421 is just outside for easy travels on a main road.

- This is a quiet site: no music is allowed.
- No naked flames are allowed inside the hired accommodation units.
- No gas barbecues allowed.
- No charcoal barbecues allowed.
- No electric barbecues allowed.
- Fires, barbecues and/or firepits will not be permitted in dry, windy and/or hot weather conditions.

Want to make life nice and easy? Ask the team on site to organise outings for you – they’ve got a good collection of experiences to offer, including horse riding, hikes, kayaking and seasonal excursions like mushroom-hunting and almond-blossom viewing.
If you'd rather set out on your own, you could fill your days seeking out historic sights like the Castillo Alcazaba de Bujalance (half an hour’s drive), hiking at scenic spots like the nearby Pantano de El Arenoso lake (40 minutes to the lakeside trail) or cooling off by swooshing down the slides at Aquasierra (20 minutes).
And speaking of historic sights, you should certainly spend a day checking out those over in Córdoba (40 minutes), taking a stroll through the streets of the Juderia, visiting the Mezquita and Alcázar de los Reyes Cristianos and learning all about flamenco at Centro Flamenco Fosforito.
