Now this campsite deserves to be on your list, whether you’re a wine buff, mountain biker or holidaying with the kids. Agriturismo Revena sits among Veneto vineyards in the Valdadige Terradeiforti wine-growing area, and it’s close to cycling trails in the alpine foothills as well as numerous family attractions around Lake Garda. And that’s even before you see its location – on a small farm with spectacular views across the vines to rugged mountain peaks. The camping pitches are neatly divided by tall hedges for extra privacy, and are well-lit by night. Facilities comprise a modern shower block with plenty of hot water, electric hook-ups, water loading and emptying, and a bike-repair workshop in case of emergencies. By day, you can laze by the pool and keep an eye on the kids as they race around the play area, top up your tan in the lawned garden or tour and taste the produce at the Revena winery. Breakfast can be provided by prior reservation, and there’s an alfresco barbecue area for magicking up alfresco meals.

Liked Sehr schöner kleiner Campingplatz. Hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Pool ist klein aber fein. Sanitäre Anlagen absolut in Ordnung. Sehr nettes Personal.

Disliked Liegt recht nah zwischen der A22 und einer Bahnstrecke. War dementsprechend recht laut.

Liked Hallo, der Revena ist ein sehr schöner Aufenthaltsort, mitten zwischen Weinreben sehr, sehr nette Menschen top gepflegt, und sehr Idylisch das Frühstück bietet sehr abwechslungsreiches an mit vielen Eigenproduktionen. Kann ich nur sehr empfehlen, und auch mal nur für ne Nacht oder zwei. Wir waren sehr angetan.

From your pitch, you can set off on foot to stroll among the vines or up the ante and go trekking in the mountains surrounding the campsite. Cyclists may like to try out sections of the long-distance EuroVelo 7 between Trentino-Alto Adige and Verona. For a day soaking up history, admire the intricate baroque interior of the Cattedrale di Santa Maria Matricolare in Verona (45 minutes) where you can also take a selfie on Juliet’s Balcony and climb up the 11th-century Torre dei Lamberti for views across the city’s red rooftops. End your day watching the world go by from a Piazza Bra café, and if you’d like to attend an opera performance at the Arena amphitheatre, be sure to book tickets well in advance. After all that culture, the kids may well deserve a day at Lake Garda theme parks. Choose between dinosaur trails and safari drives at Parco Natura Viva, blockbuster-themed rides at Movieland Studios, waterslides at Caneva Aquapark and adrenaline rides at Gardaland Resort – they are all around half an hour’s drive from the campsite.
