In search of the sea, or indeed the medieval architecture of Castellabate? Area Sosta Camper L’Angolo Verde is a quiet, well-kept site just a 10-minute drive from the historic centre of Castellabate, one of the highlights of the Cilento coast. It also has the huge advantage of being just 150 metres from one of many splendid local Cilentan beaches. From the site, it’s a 10-minute drive to Castello dell'Abate, a ruined 12th-century castle overlooking the coast, which has a museum and underground passageways rumoured to have been used by pirates once upon a time. The castle is part of the historic centre of Castellabate, which can also be reached on foot as long as you’re ready and willing for a walk of 45 minutes or so. If you had a lazier day in mind, it’s a three-minute stroll from Area Sosta Camper L’Angolo Verde to the nearest beach. That means you'll have plenty of time on your first morning here to look around the facilities, which include bathrooms, showers and full services for tourers. The site has been managed by the Rossi family for over 20 years, handed down from father to son. The staff, which is mostly made up of the family, are reliable, kind and on-hand for all your little needs. With all that sorted, start sketching out your itinerary, which could include hikes in the Cilento National Park (from 40 minutes’ drive) or hiring a bike, car, motorbike or boat locally. Boat excursions can be booked in the area, often including fishing or typical local dishes served on board. There are also wineries within five minutes’ drive (or a 15-minute cycle) of the site. A restaurant is a couple minutes’ stroll away, by the beach.

Liked Alles in allem ein kleiner sehr gemütlicher Campingplatz mit wirklich sehr kurzem Weg zum Strand wovon man aber am Campingplatz so rein gar nichts mitbekommt man hört abends zwar das Rauschen der Wellen wen es ruhig geworden ist aber von dem Trubel tagsüber hört man nichts .
Der ganze Ort ist sehr schön und die Lage vom Campingplatz ist top in unmittelbarer Nähe ist ein kleiner Laden wo man alles bekommt was wirklich wichtig ist .
Für alles weitere gibt es weiter oben im Ort noch einen Supermarkt also alles auch ganz bequem zu Fuß erreichbar.
Oben in die Altstadt von Castellebate zu gehen kann man nur empfehlen in den ganzen engen Gassen befindet sich eine kleine Pizzeria die echt super schmeckt und die Aussicht von dort ist wirklich klasse.
Wir waren 11 Tage dort und es hat uns wirklich sehr sehr gut gefallen sanitäre Einrichtung wahren eigendlich zu jedem Zeitpunkt sauber .
Die Betreiber und auch Mitarbeiter vom Campingplatz wahren trotz Sprachbarrieren immer hilfsbereit und man hat irgendwie immer geschafft eine Antwort zu finden .

Disliked Wirklich negativ kann man nicht sagen wie bei vielen anderen vorher schon geschrieben die Einfahrt ist etwas eng Wohnwagen und Auto knapp 12 Meter haben rein gepasst zwar etwas fummelig aber es funktioniert .
Zu den duschen kann ich sagen ablage Orte für Sachen die nicht nass werden sollen habe ich am ersten Tag vergebens gesucht aber auch das wen man es weiß kann man damit umgehen .

Ma poi come fa a dire che non ci sono le docce ? quando qui io ne contro 6..

Liked October 2024, 2 adults with a 7m-length mobile home and ebikes, 4 nights.
L'Angolo Verde is a very nice and totally quiet place in San Marco with view to Castelabate.
5 min by foot to a small beach and a restaurant with view to Santa Maria.
Some small shops and the small harbor with restaurants and bars are 15 min away. Very nice surrounding: Santa Maria, Agropoli, Castelabate and Acciaroli are in cycling distance via wonderful routes along the coast. Sometimes a little bit steepy, but beautiful.
Pasquale and his family are very friendly and are living on the ground.
Electricity (6-16 Amps), toilet and showers (warm water costs1€) are simple but totally OK; grey water and chem toilet can be emptied on the place.
To find the entry is a little bit tricky, so see the foto, made from Via Carlo di Angelis. At the end of this street you can turn-around a motor home without problems.

A pochi passi dal mare e dal. Centro.
Strada un po' stretta e trafficata per arrivare ma percorribile con il camper?
Servizi ben puliti ma essenziali.
Sprovvisto di market.
A sostituire vendita quotidiana di vari prodotti tra cui mozzarelle di bufala (buonissima) pane e altro da parte di un venditore con furgone.

Local attractions

Before you get too caught up in the scenery and history of Castellabate, remember that there is another historical spot within a short drive of Area Sosta Camper L’Angolo Verde. The Archaeological Park of Paestum (half an hour’s drive) is a former ancient Greek city, now turned into a museum with archaeological excavations. If you’d rather spend time outside, with the wind whizzing through your hair perhaps, you could cycle around Licosa (15 minutes' drive/20 minutes' cycle), which has views of an island with pines and carob, as well as a lighthouse. Agropoli (25 minutes' drive) is a resort town further up the coast with lots of shops, cobbled streets, a castle and old churches. Here, you could swing by Trentova Tresino (25 minutes) for shorter trails than those of the Cilento National Park (from 40 minutes’ drive); the Sentiero dei Trezeni is just over seven kilometres long and traces the coast, passing by beaches and good birdwatching areas.
