Liked: The welcome from the owner and the helpfulness of all the site staff. The way the site is constantly tended to and watered. The many dining areas on hardstanding and under umbrellas dotted around. The view of Vesuvius. The proximity to Pompeii. The provision of water and electric on nearly every pitch. The cleanliness of the shower/ wc/ washing up block. The provision of BBQ points to use. The lack of ant and mosquito issues. Railway station 20 minutes walk, serves the Naples to Sorrento area. Free and good WiFi connection.

Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: Loved the site, nice size pitches, great location and very clean. View of Mount Vesuvius from the campsite is spectacular.

Disliked: No dislikes but a pool would be an added bonus.

Liked: Der Campingplatz ist wirklich toll mit einem traumhaften Blick auf den Vesuv.

Disliked: Die wc und duschanlage ist zwar schon ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen aber immer sehr sauber

Liked: Everything was amazing. The pitches have everything you need such as water, electricity and disposable waste. The owner help us arrange the taxi pick up/ drop off to eat in a local restaurant. The food was amazing and the services was outstanding. We recommend this please 100%. Amelia the taxi service we used was amazing.

Liked: When entering campsite we thought wow. Pitch sizes were good and well maintained, level. The shower and toilet facilities are basic but adequate and kept clean. And they are unisex. The owner and staff were very obliging giving us options as where we could pitch. we had a problem with our battery and the owner went out of his way to help us and offered to get it delivered if needed. Thank you for that. This site is well worth a visit but be prepared, it can be tricky with a car and caravan getting to it as the roads are very narrow. The local traffic comes at you from all directions. There is a view of Vesuvius nice by day and by night especially as the sun sets. We would definitely stay here again and would most definitely recommend to our friends.

Disliked: Got a problem with ants but soon sorted out with ant powder. Main dislike was leaving such a lovely place and would love to have stayed longer.

Liked: Super Ausgangspunkt auch ohne Auto, der Bahnhof ist fußläufig gut erreichbar, Pascal und sein Team waren immer freundlich und sehr hilfsbereit.

Disliked: Die auf dem Platz befi Deiche Beleuchtung könnte etwas früher ausgehen.

Local attractions

The Archaeological Park of Pompeii is known for the colourful frescoes of the Villa dei Misteri, the well-preserved mosaics of the House of the Faun and assorted temples. The vast site, which was buried by lava and burning ash spewing out of Vesuvius in 79 AD, also includes the Antiquarium Museum, displaying artefacts unearthed at the site. Built in the late 19th century, the vast Santuario della Beata Vergine Maria del Santo Rosario di Pompei (five minutes’ drive) can hold more than 2,000 people in its richly decorated interior dominated by a gilded organ. Exhibits in the Diocesan Museum include votive offerings. If you fancy a hike (or if you want to see up close what led to the destruction of Pompeii), Vesuvio National Park (25 minutes) has a network of trails, including one crossing the ominously named Valley of Hell. Keep your eyes peeled for foxes and bats, plus peregrine falcons and marsh harriers.

A cable measuring at least 10 metres is needed for the electric hook-ups.

Admission

Admission is only permitted after registering at reception.
All guests spending the night at the park must present their ID at the reception desk and sign registration forms.
At least one of the party members must be aged 18 or over.

Safety

Barbecues are permitted but must be raised off the ground and attended by an adult at all times.

General

Bookings are nominative and non-transferable.
Discount cards and gift vouchers cannot be applied to bookings made via Pitchup.com.

Dogs

Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times.
