Paradise? It’s a bold claim, but you can see why the owners of Notre Petit Paradis have chosen that name for their site… It’s tucked away in the Gers countryside, surrounded by fields and filled with a range of gorgeous trees (palms, pines, linden trees, silk trees, fig trees…) to create a peaceful atmosphere that’s all about relaxing in a natural setting.
This is a laidback place that prioritises nature (as you’ll see through eco-friendly amenities like compost toilets and solar-heated showers) but also makes sure there are enough facilities for a comfortable stay. That means access to handy things like wifi, picnic tables and a communal barbecue, and also a play area (with a swing, trampoline, football goal and other games kit) to help you tire the kids out ready for bed.
There’s a sociable vibe at this small site, where you may well find yourselves sharing an aperitif with the owners and your fellow guests while playing a game of pétanque, or chatting after a cool dip in the outdoor pool (available from July). The owners are classic campervan enthusiasts and will offer a particularly warm welcome to guests travelling in those vehicles. Other guests who fancy finding out what all the fuss is about can take a short tour in the owners’ 1973 van, to see some local scenery and taste a bit of the area’s produce (extra charge applies; book in advance).
For other ways to explore the area, there are lots of hikes, bike rides and fishing spots around, and you can head to towns like Mirande (10 minutes’ drive) and Marciac (15 minutes) – both also handy shopping spots.

- The outdoor swimming pool is open between 10/07 and 30/09 (subject to weather conditions).
- Bookings must not be for more than 30 consecutive nights.
- Discount cards and gift vouchers cannot be applied to bookings made via Pitchup.com.
- Units longer than 7 metres are not allowed.
- Guests must bring their own duvets, pillows, sheets and towels when staying in rental accommodation. You will not be allowed to stay if you do not bring these items.
- Minimum spacing of 3 metres between pitches.
- Guests are advised to bring a good quality torch with them as parts of the site are unlit.
- Please note that the toilet/shower facilities are unisex.
- There are no bins onsite: all rubbish will need to be taken home with you.
- If reception is closed on arrival: please contact the number provided on your booking confirmation.
- The charging of electric vehicles is not permitted on site.

Liked If you’re up for getting back to basics in a beautiful setting with great hosts then this is your place!!
The site is quite remote with surrounding villages & towns (communes), boasting medieval town planning and laid back life.
So enjoyed our time here-plus we caught the Marciac jazz festival (by accident) spent two great night outs there.

Local attractions
At such a laidback site you may well find yourselves simply slowing down and opting for gentle walks or bike rides around the area – the owners are happy to point you towards suitable routes taking in nearby lakes and other natural features. There are wineries around too, so you may like to plan routes that allow you to stop in for a tasting or two.
The nearby fortified town of Mirande (10 minutes’ drive) is at its liveliest during its country music festival in July, but it’s an attractive place at any time of year, with an art museum and a waterpark. Meanwhile, Marciac (15 minutes) is best known for its jazz music, and hosts a popular festival in early August.
For longer days out, perhaps head to Auch (35 minutes) to explore the Old Town, visit the cathedral and climb the 374 steps of the Escalier Monumental, or take the kids to meet exotic beasts at Le Parc aux Rapaces de Madiran (40 minutes).
