Camping du Lac de Mondon

Camping du Lac de Mondon has easy access to local hiking and cycling trails and the lake next to the site has pedal boats for hire. Both tennis and archery are available close by for a small charge. If you're a foodie – and who wouldn't be in any part of France – make it your mission to tackle as much of the local cuisine as poss, such as the traditional clafoutis and hazelnut cakes, all washed down with Limousin cider and – maybe – walked off afterwards with the geocaching activities available in the area courtesy of Haute-Vienne's Terra Aventura. Other nearby popular places to visit are the medieval village of Saint-Benoit-du-Sault, 13km away, and the Creuse town of La Souterraine within 18 kilometres. The site's nearby town of Cromac is a 55-kilometre drive from Limousin's capital Limoges, which is well worth a day trip to see its cathedral, art museum and the botanical garden.
