- Small-scale rural Corrèze site 20 minutes' walk from Saint-Robert
- Château de Hautefort 20 minutes' drive; Brive-la-Gaillarde 30 minutes
- Peaceful woodland site with bar, play area and accessible bathroom
Tuck yourselves away in the Corrèze countryside while also staying within easy reach of handy village amenities… Camping Florecer is one of those handy locations where you can experience a proper rural getaway but also buy a loaf of bread without too much fuss.
This small-scale site is in a peaceful woodland about 20 minutes’ walk from Saint-Robert, one of Les Plus Beaux Villages de France and with a restaurant, a bakery and a couple of other shops. The village also hosts a Friday market throughout the summer, and for more options you can travel to nearby Ayen (five minutes’ drive) or Objat (15 minutes), the latter with a farmers’ market every Sunday.
Almost on the border between the Corrèze and Dordogne regions, this is a great location for getting out to explore the area, whether you fancy hiking, biking and canoeing or taking in caves, châteaux and vineyards.
It’s also a rather lovely place to relax, as its small size means you’ll never be overwhelmed with fellow guests. There are no lively entertainments here, but guests do have access to a good clutch of facilities including a play area, a picnic area, a mini market (with bread deliveries) and a bar (serving drinks only). Essential amenities are in place too, with a wifi service and a spacious bathroom block (including four toilets, three showers and a wheelchair-accessible bathroom).

Local attractions
Saint-Robert (20 minutes’ walk) is a pretty place for a stroll, and there are several walking and bike trails nearby through the surrounding countryside; you may like to cool off after your outing with a dip in the swimming pool in Objat (15 minutes’ drive). For other ways to explore, head to Oxygen Sports Nature (20 minutes), which organises canoe rentals as well as guided climbing, mountain biking and gourmet walk activities.
If that gourmet walk appeals, you may also like to treat your tastebuds to a trip to the Bovetti Chocolate Museum (half an hour), or sample some wines at one of the local vineyards (there are many dotted around the area…).
And of course there are plenty of châteaux dotted around too – Château de Hautefort (20 minutes) is probably the pick of the bunch, with gorgeous gardens as well as a well-preserved grand building. You’ll want to stroll around lovely Brive-la-Gaillarde (half an hour) too, taking in all its historic buildings before heading a little way south to the underground scenery of Gouffre de la Fage (35 minutes).
